DAILY LESSON LOG Teacher Learning Area Mathematics

Teaching Dates and Time Week j (10) Quarter FIRST

MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY

I. OBJECTIVES Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives necessary procedures must be
followed and if needed, additional lessons, exercises, and remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and
competencies. These are assessed using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and
competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the
curriculum guides.
A. Content Standard The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts of factors of polynomials, rational algebraic expressions, linear equations and
inequalities in two variables, systems of linear equations and inequalities in two variables and linear functions.
B. Performance Standard The learner is able to formulate real-life problems involving factors of polynomials, rational algebraic expressions, linear equations
and inequalities in two variables, systems of linear equations and inequalities in two variables and linear functions, and solve these
problems accurately using a variety of strategies.
C. Learning Competency Objectives SUMMATIVE

IV.PROCEDURES These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by
demonstration of learning by the students which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing
students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice their learning, question their learning processes, and draw conclusions about what they
learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.

remainder at 10%. If she
invested ₱400 000.00 and
received a total of
₱37 000.00 in interest,
how much did she invest

0.08x + 0.10y = 37000
Donna invested
₱250 000.00 at 10% and

V. REMARKS

VI.REFLECTION Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your students’ progress this week. What works? What else
needs to be done to help the students learn? Identify what help your instructional supervisors can provide for you so when you meet
them, you can ask them relevant questions.
A. No. of learners who earned
80% in the evaluation
B. No. of learners who require
additional activities for
remediation who scored below
80%
C. Did the remedial lessons
work? No. of learners who
have caught up with the lesson
D. No. of learners who continue
to require remediation
E. Which of my teaching
strategies worked well? Why
did these work?
F. What difficulties did I encounter
which my principal or supervisor
can help me solve?
G. What innovation or localized
materials did I use/discover
which I wish to share with
other teachers?
This material has been formulated for the benefit of the teachers and learners as reference to ease preparation of learning plan, yet you are given the right to make some modification as
needed but not the competencies. Thank you!

PROBLEM SOLVING. Solve each problem by writing a system of linear equations.
Number Problems
1. One integer is twice another. Their sum is 96. Find the integers.
2. The sum of two integers is 42. Their difference is 8. Find the integers.
3. The difference between the two numbers is 28. The larger number is four more than thrice the smaller. What are the numbers?
4. The sum of the digits of a two-digit numbers is 11. If the tens digit is one less than thrice the nits digit, find the number.
Geometry Problems
1. Two angles are complementary. The larger angle is 9 less than twice the smaller angle. Find the two angles.
2. Two angles are supplementary. If the larger angle is twice the smaller, what are the measures of the two angles?

Comparison Problems
1. When fully extended, the arm on a tree service truck is 16 meters long. If the upper part of the arm is 3 meters shorter than the lower part, how long is each part of
the arm?
2. In a recent school election, 826 votes were cast for class president. If the winner received 122 more votes than the loser, how many votes did each receive?
Motion Problems
1. A certain fish requires 3 hours to swim 15 kilometers downstream. The return trip upstream takes 5 hours. Find the speed of the fish in still water. How fast is the
current of the stream?
2. Andy can row a boat with the current at 5.5 kilometers per hour at the Carigara River. Against the current, he rows at 4.2 kilometers per hour. How fast is the
current? How fast can he row the boat in still water?
3. An airplane traveled from Katuba to Nabi, a distance of 3 000 kilometers. Against the wind, the trip took 6 hours. The return trip with the benefit of the wind was 5
hours. What was the wind speed in kilometers per hour? What was the speed of the plane in still air?
Coin Problems
1. A child’s coin bank contains ₱400 in ₱5-coins and ₱10-coins. If there are 59 coins in all, how many coins of each kind are there?
1
2. A boy sold candies and collected ₱238, part in ₱1-coins and part in ₱5-coins. If there are 1 times more ₱5-coins than ₱1-coins, how many of each kind were
2
there?
Business Problems
1. A movie theater charges ₱180 for adults and ₱144 for senior citizens. On a day when 310 people paid an admission, the total receipts were ₱54 540. How many
were adults? How many were seniors?
2. Promotional caps were offered by an amusement park at ₱50 each, or two for ₱80. If 145 caps were sold for a total of 6 250, how much caps were sold as pairs?
