ensure the patients safety.

 The electromagnetic field will affect the performance of this instrument, so the use of the
other equipment near this instrument must meet corresponding EMC requirements. For
example: Mobile phone, X-ray or MRI equipment may be an interference source,
because they will transmit high-strength electromagnetic radiation.

 This is not a treatment device.

 The duration of temperature monitoring should be less than 5 minutes.

 Continuous and prolonged period of monitoring may increase the risk of undesirable
changes in the skin characteristics, such as extremely sensitive, reddening, blistering, or
even pressure necrosis etc.

Caution

 To avoid damage to this instrument and guarantee patient safety, please use the
accessories designated in this instruction manual.

Chapter 1-2
Safety

3.3.10 SPO2 Module

There are 3 types of SPO2 modules: COMEN SPO2, Masimo SpO2 and Nellcor SpO2 module.
The SPO2 board implements SPO2 signals collect amplified simulating, relative digital/analog converting
and signal processing.
The pulse extent of optical signal changes during monitoring. SpO2 parameter, pulse rate signal and pleth
waveform will be acquired after calculation. These data will be transmitted to the main board with special
communication protocol.

Chapter 4 Troubleshooting

4.1Introducion

In this chapter, patient monitor problems are listed along with possible causes and recommended corrective
actions. Refer to the tables to check the patient monitor, identify and eliminate the troubles. The troubles we
list here are frequently arisen difficulties and the actions we recommend can correct most problems, but not
all of them. For more information on troubleshooting, contact our International After-sale Dept.

4.2 Part Replacement

Printed circuit boards (PCBs), major parts and components in the patient monitor are replaceable. Once you
isolate a PCB you suspect defective, follow the instructions in 7Repair and Disassembly to replace the PCB
with a known good one and check that the trouble disappears or the patient monitor passes all performance
tests. If the trouble remains, exchange the replacement PCB with the original suspicious PCB and continue
troubleshooting as directed in this chapter. Defective PCB can be sent to us for repair.

4.3 Monitor Status Check

Some troubleshooting tasks may require you to identify the hardware version and status of your patient
monitor.

4.4 Software Version Check

Some troubleshooting tasks may require you to identify the configuration and software version of your
patient monitor

Check the configuration and software version:long press the key enter into maintainance mode
after power on seft test(sound toot),then you can check the modules version on the screen as below:

6.1 NIBP Test

6.1.1 NIBP Leakage Test

Tools required:
 NIBP cuff for adult patient
 Appropriate tubing
 Cylinder
Follow this procedure to perform the test:

1. Set the patient type to adult through the key ;

2. Connect the NIBP cuff with the NIBP socket on the monitor;
3. Apply the cuff to the cylinder as shown below:

Figure 28
4. Enter the maintenance mode according the steps of “maintenance mode”, press” ” and switch into
detection interface of NIBP module, PR parameter area prompts “150”.

5. Press” ”, start leakage test. The real-time pressure is shown in mean pressure area. Press “ ”
to stop the test if necessary.
6. After test is completed, the monitor will automatically deflate.

If is shown in fault code area that means the test is OK, if is shown, it indicates that the NIBP airway

may have leakages. Check the tubing and connections for leakages, and perform a leakage test again.

6.1.2 NIBP Pressure Calibration

Tools required:
 T-piece connector
 Appropriating tubing
 Balloon pump
 Metal Vessel(500±5%ml)
 Reference manometer(calibrated with higher than 0.75mmHg)
1. Following this procedure to perform the test:

Figure 30
2. Before inflation, the reading of the manometer should be 0. If not, disconnect the airway and reconnect
it until the readings is 0.

3. Enter “miantenance mode”, press” ” and switch to detection interface of NIBP module, “250” is

shown in RP parameter area.

4. Press” ”, start test. The real-time pressure is shown in mean pressure area.Press “ ” to stop

the test if necessary.

5. Raise the pressure in the metal vessel to 50mmHg with the ballon pump then stop and hold for 10s to
make the value stable
6. Compare the manometer values with the displayed values. The difference between the manometer and
displayed values should be no greater than 3mmHg
7. Raise the pressure in the metal vessel to 200mmHg with the ballon pump then stop and hold for 10s to
make the value stable. Repeat step 6.
If the difference between the manometer and displayed values is greater than 3 mmHg, contact your service
personnel.

6.2 Spo2 Test

Tool Required: None.

Follow this procedure to perform the test:

1. Connect SpO2 sensor to the SpO2 connector of the monitor, and set patient type to [Adult] ;

2. Measure SpO2 on your finger. (Assume that you stay healthy)

3. Check the PLETH wave and PR reading on the screen and make sure that the displayedSpO2 is within
95%-100%.

4. Remove the SpO2 sensor from your finger and make sure that warning message of SpO2 Sensor Off is
triggered.

6.3 TEMP Test

Tool Required:

High resolution black body calibrator(sink), thermodetector, platinum sensor(accurancy:0.001℃)

Ambient temperature: 25℃±0.5℃,and let the ear thermometer sit more than 30 minutes.

6.3.1 Temp Calibration

Preparation: connect between the thermodetector and platinum sensor, and put the probe of sensor into the
sink;

1)Adjust the temperature of sink, and thermodetector steady displays 25℃±0.01℃;

2)Set thermometer to enter into calibration mode of 25℃——keep press the calibration button and install

the battery simultaneously,when the ear thermometer displays “ ”,release the calibration button;

3)Put a lens filter on the probe of thermometer, press the measurement button streak into calibration mode of
25℃;
4 ) Put the probe into the thermotank standing for 20 minutes until the display is steady(display value
changed in the range of ±1 is regarded as steady);
5)After the display value is steady, press the measurement button again, finish the calibration.
Step 2. Calibration at 37℃:
1)Adjust the temperature of sink, and thermodetector steady displays 37℃±0.01℃;
2)Set thermometer to enter into calibration mode of 25℃——keep press the calibration button and install

the battery simultaneously,when the ear thermometer displays “ ”,release the calibration button; And

then press the ejector button (figure 33), after display “ ”, release the ejector;

3 ) Put a lens filter on the probe of thermometer, insert into black body, press the measurement button
twice(the interval is 1s), when the ear thermometer displays 37.0℃, finish the calibration.
Note: the process from you putting the probe in black body to finishing the calibration should be done in
4±1s, or you need to repeat from step 2 to do the calibration at 37℃.

6.3.2 Wireless Connection

Note: Please keep the ear thermometer close to the monitor for stable signal when wireless connects.
Wireless connection process:

1)Adjust the sink temperature and make the thermodetctor steady displays 37℃±0.01℃;
2 ) Put on the lens filter and insert into black body, press the measurement button, and then record the
measurement value. after 1min, and measure again, do the measurement 3 times like the same, the
measurement error should be in ±0.02℃;
3)Check the measurement value if it is synchronous displayed on the NC3 screen.
4) Finish the test
