PRELIMINARIES
A Note : Following items to be priced as
appropriate
The tenderer is advised to visit the site of the Note
proposed work, as it is his responsibility to
ascertain the conditions, governing access to the
site, external working space, storage area, status
of the adjoining properties etc.
The contractor shall be responsible for any loss or Note
damage to the work, existing structures, adjoining
structures and unfixed materials.
The Contractor shall be responsible for providing Note
adequate provisions to reduce the amount of
vibration, dust, pollution and noise from the site
and shall be contractor's responsible any
complaints, damages or claims in connection with
the works.
The Contractor shall be responsible for providing Note
and maintaining access to the site. It would be his
responsibility to complete the access roads to suite
the requirement of the project.
The Contractor shall be responsible for carrying Note
out accurate survey to define the building works
etc., and check the layout and all levels and such
other surveys as may be necessary to establish
accurately the placing of forms and pouring of
concrete and all other works and setting out in
both vertical and horizontal plane.
All the temporary works shall be dismantled and Note
cleard away from the site on completion of the
work.
Any other preliminary items not listed Note
below/above but deemed to be included in the
tender rates, as no extras would be made.

Mode of payment for preliminary items shall be


as described below (refers to ICTAD Publication
No. ICTDA/ID/04);
(A) - Reimbursement of actual cost on submission
of the relevant documents acceptable to the
Engineer plus 50% of the actual cost of obtaining
the Insurance Policies and Securities, subjected to
the maximum quoted for that item.
(B) - To be paid on signing of the formal Contract
Agreement
(C) - 60% on completion of temporary buildings
or structures. 30% in equal installments over the
contract period and balance 10% on dismantling
and removal on completion.
(D) - Paid on satisfactorily completion of the item.
(E) - In equal installments over the contract
period.
(F) - Mode of payment to be mutually agreed
between Contractor and the Employer at the
commencement of contract in relation to the
programme of work.
(G) - On the completion of work.
Insurance and Securities

in the name of the Employer.
Necessary recharging pipe network with 12mm Note
dia flexible hose and points shall be provided
for future refilling work. Pipe layout should be
approved by Engineer before proceed the work.
Plinth Area be measured of the building. Note

position and construction of two nor 450 ×
450mm inspection chamber (depth up to
600mm) on the pre-cast septic tank with
125mm thick grade 25mm wall consisting with
all necessary formwork, reinforcement
(T10@150c/c b/w), iron rungs, internal
plastering and covered with two numbers of
medium duty double seal cast iron cover lid
and 80mm dia GI vent pipe and all necessary
works to fixing and laying of type 600 ×
160mm dia pipe outlet complete to working
order as directed by the Engineer.

SOAKAGE PIT

B.7.7.2 Supply & placing of 1.38m dia, 1.22m length 2 nr


pre-cast soakage pit (Lanka Hume pipe or
similar quality) with 125mm thick C25
concrete (RF T10@100) covers lab 110mm dia
hole for fixing inlet. Rate shall be included for
excavation, backfilling, shoring if required,
dewatering where necessary, compacting
bottom of excavation and preparing surface,
disposal of surplus excavated materials away
from site, 50mm thick grade 15 screed on
bottom, stacking and launching of pre-cast
soakage pit in to position, 300mm 25-40mm
size metal filling layer on bottom of soakage pit
and construction of 450 × 450mm inspection
chamber on top of the soakage pit with 125mm
thick grade 25 concrete wall with necessary
form of work and reinforcement (T10@150c/c
b/w), internal plastering, medium duty cast iron
cover lid and all necessary pipe works
complete to working order as directed by the
Engineer.
