PRELIMINARIES
A Note : Following items to be priced as
appropriate
The tenderer is advised to visit the site of the Note
proposed work, as it is his responsibility to
ascertain the conditions, governing access to the
site, external working space, storage area, status
of the adjoining properties etc.
The contractor shall be responsible for any loss or Note
damage to the work, existing structures, adjoining
structures and unfixed materials.
The Contractor shall be responsible for providing Note
adequate provisions to reduce the amount of
vibration, dust, pollution and noise from the site
and shall be contractor's responsible any
complaints, damages or claims in connection with
the works.
The Contractor shall be responsible for providing Note
and maintaining access to the site. It would be his
responsibility to complete the access roads to suite
the requirement of the project.
The Contractor shall be responsible for carrying Note
out accurate survey to define the building works
etc., and check the layout and all levels and such
other surveys as may be necessary to establish
accurately the placing of forms and pouring of
concrete and all other works and setting out in
both vertical and horizontal plane.
All the temporary works shall be dismantled and Note
cleard away from the site on completion of the
work.
Any other preliminary items not listed Note
below/above but deemed to be included in the
tender rates, as no extras would be made.

B.8.6 WALL FINISHES
All masonry mortar to be in river sand.
The rate is included for all temporary rules,
screeds, grounds etc. for raking out joints of
new brick work or hacking new concrete for ,
internal & curved angles, joints between
different surfaces arises quirks, inter sections
between curved or irregular shapes.

B.8.8 Supply and laying Dress Rubble approx. 50 m2
50mm thick. Natural rubble slates for external
walls, laid on and including 20 mm thick
cement and sand 1:3 bedding using cement
slurry as directed by the Engineer.
B.8.9 Supply and laying Polished Granite 20mm 2.2 m2
thick. Absolutely black for vanity/work top/
pantry, laid on 20 mm thick cement sand 1:3
screed level off using cement slurry.net area
will be measured . (Prime Cost Rs. 2200 per 1
Sq.ft of granite)
B.8.10 Preparation of Dripped Edge at roof slab as 20 m
instructed by Architect.

B.9 PAINTING AND DECORATION
The contractor is requested to refer Conditions Note
of Contract, Specifications, Drawings, General
Notes, Pricing Preambles, and all other relevant
documents prior to pricing of the following
items.
Rate shall include for supply, preparation of Note
surface cleaning down, smoothing, knotting,
stepping etc. protection of floors and fitting,
removing & replacing door and window,
furniture, and cleaning windows etc. upon
completion.
Paint shall be from CIC or better quality Note
approved by Engineer
B.9.1 External wall
Prepare and apply two coats of elastomeric
primer and two coats of weather shield paint as
per manufacture and to the design to Engineer's

B.9.3.1 Painting the soffit / side of the slab, beams, 115 m2
staircase with one coat of primer and two coats

ELECTRICAL WORKS
Rates in Bill of Quantities shall include all Note
necessary materials (Cables, conduits, PVC
sunk box, bulbs switches etc.) and labour
required to complete the electrical installation to
good working order.
Rates for all items shall be inclusive of
following
a) Provisions of holes, chases......Etc.
b) All necessary of Scaffoldings.
c) Contractor's overheads & profits.
Cables, enclosures connectors, nuts terminals, Note
Fittings and all Accessories should be able to
withstand the Environmental condition at the
premises.
All types of fittings, materials, painting and Note
finishes shall be approved by the Engineer prior
to installation.
The whole installation shall be carried out Note
according to IEE wiring regulations 18th
edition.
Shall include to securely concealed each and Note
every exposed cable contact points connector
bars of the fittings, connector bars of the point
wiring, etc. using approved mastic tape of
every new fitting and new holder termination
points. (Prevent oxidation of CU parts due to
salty condition at the premises)
Rate shall include to clean all contact of the Note
point wiring using approved contact cleaner
prior to fixing the fitting.
Consumer units
Supply and installation of single phase and Note
neutral wall mounted sunk type consumer units
(CU) complete with plastic enclosure and
cover.
CU shall include incoming isolating switch? Note
MCB, RCD, outgoing MCBs, bus bars,
terminals. Mounting rails and all required
accessories.
Make of MCBs RCD and isolator shall be Note
European make or equivalent approved be
engineer.

outlet with 2.5sqmm Cu PVC/PVC cable in
radial circuits and 2.5sq Cu PVC earth wire,
drawn through the concealed PVC conduits,
from the respective consumer units.
Wiring of light points
Wring includes supply of required cables and Note
accessories, flush switch and all other required
