ETHICAL AUTOBIOGRAPHY

How do you think through to determine in your daily life what is right or wrong?
When I come across a situation where I have to make a decision about whether something is
right or wrong, these are the following thought process.

 My moral values: I have a set of moral values that I have developed over time, based
on my upbringing, my experiences, and my own reflections on what is important to
me. These values include things like honesty, kindness, fairness, and respect for
others. When I am faced with a decision, I try to think about how my actions will
align with my values.

 The potential consequences of my actions: I also try to think about the potential
consequences of my actions, both for myself and for others. I want to make choices
that will have positive consequences, and avoid making choices that will have
negative consequences.

 The impact of my actions on others: I try to be mindful of the impact that my actions
have on others. I want to avoid doing anything that will harm or hurt others, and I
want to do things that will help others and make the world a better place.
 What I would want others to do in the same situation: I often ask myself what I would
want others to do if they were in the same situation as me. This can help me to see the
situation from a different perspective and to make a decision that is fair and just.

Give four examples of your ethical behavior. How did your cultural heritage shape your
values?
Four ethical values are:
1. HONESTY: I am honest in my dealings with others as they help in building trust and
credibility with all those who I am dealing with.
2. FAIRNESS: I believe that everyone deserves to be treated fairly and justly. I try to
make decisions based on objective criteria, and I avoid making decisions that benefit
myself or my group at the expense of others.
3. RESPECT: I believe that all people deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of
their background, beliefs, or opinions. I try to treat others the way I would want to be
treated, and I avoid making assumptions or judgments about others based on their
appearance or behavior.
4. CARE AND CONCERN FOR OTHERS: I treat all those who I interact with,
caring about them being empathetic and understanding.

Describe the nature of the four ethical behaviors you see in yourself
Honesty has positive consequences because it builds trust and maintains healthy
relationships. When people are honest with each other, they are more likely to cooperate
and help each other. This can lead to a number of positive outcomes, such as increased
productivity, improved communication, and reduced conflict. Respect also has positive
consequences. When people treat each other with respect, they are more likely to feel
valued and included. This can lead to a number of positive outcomes, such as improved
morale, increased cooperation, and reduced turnover. Fairness has positive consequences
because it promotes social justice and reduces conflict. When people are treated fairly,
they are more likely to feel satisfied with the system and less likely to engage in
disruptive behavior. This can lead to a number of positive outcomes, such as increased
cooperation, improved economic efficiency, and reduced crime.

c. How he/she has influenced your ethical values?

This is how Dr. Kalam influenced my ethical values

 His example of honesty and integrity can inspire you to be more honest and ethical in your
own dealings with others.
 His dedication to public service can inspire you to put the needs of others before your own.
 His advocacy for education and scientific research can inspire you to pursue your own
education and to use your knowledge and skills to make a positive difference in the world.
 His commitment to social justice can inspire you to stand up for what you believe in and to
fight for the rights of others.
What is your ethical decision making style?

I use a consequentialist ethical decision-making style. This means that when I am faced with
a decision, I try to consider all of the potential consequences of my actions and to choose the
option that will lead to the best overall outcome.
I take into account the following factors when making an ethical decision:
 The potential benefits and harms of my actions. I try to identify all of the potential
consequences of my actions, both positive and negative. I then weigh the benefits and
harms to determine which option is best.
 The impact of my actions on others. I try to consider how my actions will affect
others, both directly and indirectly. I try to choose the option that will have the least
negative impact on others.
 My values and beliefs. I also consider my own values and beliefs when making an
ethical decision. I try to choose the option that is most consistent with my values and
beliefs.
I recognize that it is not always possible to predict the consequences of my actions with
certainty. However, I try to do my best to consider all of the potential consequences and to
choose the option that I believe is most likely to lead to the best overall outcome.
