- The novel "Forrest Gump" by Winston Groom tells the story of Forrest Gump, a man from Alabama with an IQ of 75 who witnesses and unwittingly influences many historical events in the latter half of the 20th century in the United States. The book is written in a colloquial style meant to mimic Forrest's Southern accent and slow way of thinking.
- Forrest goes through many turbulent experiences in his life from bullying in school to serving in the Vietnam War alongside his friend Bubba and losing Jenny, the woman he loves. Despite his intellectual disabilities, Forrest remains optimistic and continues moving forward in life.
- The book provides a naive perspective on American history during this time period

-I am usually in habit of reading books. Addition to books that offer me much
useful information, I also like novel books. I am in fond of it for some following reasons. -To begin with, Novel books bring me a great deal of portraying the character of society and life. One of them is “Forrest Gump” which tells many emotion, go deeper into the characters and bring yourself as you enter the world or personal isues. Forrest Gump is the first person narrator of the novel. He announces straightaway that he is an “idiot” with an IQ of 75. The book is written in an odd, colloquial style meant to mimic the phonetics of Forrest’s Southern accent and slow style of thinking. Forrest’s limitations do not stop him from having a life so adventurous that is verges on cartoonishness. Once he leaves childhood behind, he is constantly finding himself in the right place at the right time. It is revealed that he is not only intelligent in some specialized ways, he is operating at the level of genius. - Regarding the character Forrest Gump, I appreciate his perspective on both the things around him and the individuals who exist in parallel with him. I say that not because I like that character, but rather because I sympathize and respect his perspective in a positive way. Besides that, although there are still people who want to exert that negative influence on Forrest Gump's people, thanks to Jenny, she gave him more light. That's why two hurt people met each other and gave each other the strength to light up this life. - Every move takes place like waves crashing on the shore. Sometimes it will be like small waves through gentle, emotional situations, unexpected meetings and separations. But there were also big waves hitting the shore when experiencing bullying at school, what war caused caused his teammate Bubba to die, Sergeant Dan turned his back, lost the person he loved the most and in the end was losing the light of my life Jenny. - If asked, will that book make you unable to take your eyes off it until you finish reading it? The answer is no because under the circumstances of the book, I feel like everything that Forrest Gump went through and the way he expressed it didn't make me lose myself in the story, but what made me finish reading this book was only one reason is the way he still stands up and moves forward even though he has an intellectual disability. That is the most prominent point in the book. - No matter how long the journey, there must be an end. The stopping point here is the final scene of Forrest Gump and Jenny getting married and having children, but then Jenny passed away due to HIV disease. Even though it was very painful, there was still a light that lit him up that kept him going and succeeding. -Another good point of it I want to mention about is the book recounts a turbulent period in American history through the naive and pure perspective of a person with only an IQ of 75. Forrest's carefreeness helps him overcome all the trying events of his life and the evening solstice helps others rise up. I mean there will be extremely negative things that suddenly come to us, but if we have many ways of thinking in a positive direction, it will not be affected, which helps them be more active in life. -By and large, novel book is worth reading when we have time or want to do experience many genres instead of watching movies. It is nice for everyone. - I would definitely recommend this book implicit satirical style through the main character's naive perspective contributed to Forrest Gump becoming a new cultural icon of the 1990s.
