A SEMI DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN PHYSICAL EDUCTION

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

a. Identify five dance terms of classical ballet.

b. Execute five dance terms of classical ballet movements with ease and
facility.

c. Appreciate the five dance terms of classical ballet.

Basic Ballet Position (Plie, Demi and


Grand)

Plié – “bent, bending”. A plie is a bending of


the knees, usually performed in one of the six
positions of the feet: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th.

Tendu – "tight or stretched”. A tendu is one


of the fundamental movements in ballet

calf to the back of the knee of the supporting

Grand Battement – “large beat”. A ballet


movement that is done by brushing the
working leg off the floor, typically past 90 –
degrees, into the air before bringing it back to
the starting position with control, keeping

far as their understanding of the lesson is
concern:

in classical ballet?

prepare the task.
 Your task is to prepare a 1 to 2
minutes’ballet dance that involves 3 to
5 terminologies by pair that we have
discuss earlier.
