IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS / GUARDIANS OF STUDENTS WHO TAKE A

TRANSCO SCHOOL BUS
(#’s 100 - 299 and the 985)

If your child does not take the school bus OR if your child takes an adapted or
another transportation vehicle provided by Transco (#900 – 984), Séguibus inc,
Autobus Beaconsfield or Taxi Leblanc, this message is NOT for you.

To the Parents / Guardians of students who take a TRANSCO Bus (#’s 100-299 and the (*%)

As you may have already heard on the news, Autobus Transco (1988) Inc. and their drivers have
finally reached an agreement and the bus strike has come to end. The EMSB is pleased to inform its
community that Transco will be offering transportation services to the EMSB students starting
Monday, March 11th, 2024.

On Friday, March 8th, all Transco bus drivers were summoned back to work for the distribution of
bus routes and there is a possibility that your child’s bus driver is no longer assigned to your child’s
bus route.

Transportation Concerns:
Should you have a concern about transportation services, you may contact your child’s school or the
Transportation division at the EMSB. It is important that the Parent/Legal Guardian does not address
the driver with any concerns as the Transportation division will take appropriate action with the bus
company directly.

Be advised that your child should be at the bus stop 10 minutes prior to the time indicated on the
bus pass.

Also, there is a possibility that some buses might be late for the first few days. We would like to thank
you in advanced for your patience as it will take time for everyone to get adjusted to some of the new
changes.

P.S. A second compensation cheque for the months of February and March will be issued to
parents in April.
