Sub: Selection of Prefects for the Academic Year 2024 – 25

Dear Parents,

We are in the process of selecting Prefects for the Academic Year 2024 - 2025. If your ward believes he has
the attributes of a leader and would like to be considered for the posts mentioned below he needs to fill in
the attached form given in the circular and submit it to the class Teacher by Monday, 29th January 2024.

Please note that if your ward is selected to become a leader in the next year, such responsibility may require
his staying back after school on certain important occasions and only if he is ready for such a role and has
your permission to do so, must he fill the form.

Selection of Prefects will be done through a process of screening the application form, an interview/
group discussion and an interaction between Assistant House Masters / House Masters / Supervisors /
SLT Members. The decision of the panel will be final.

A. Council Prefects:
The school will select one prefect per grade (not necessarily from each House) in each of the 9
Councils mentioned below from Grades 4 - 11. Students may apply for position of Prefect – preferred
council as listed below (9 councils).

B. Other student leadership positions are mentioned below:

Students of Grades 7, 10 & 11 in the current Academic Year can apply for the below positions and as
mentioned in the criteria below or for the position of Prefect.

1. School Head Boy (Senior & Middle) 7. Captain & Deputy Captain - Innovation
2. Deputy School Head Boy (Senior & Middle) 8. Captain & Deputy Captain – Health &
Safeguarding
3. Captain - House (Senior & Middle) 9. Captain & Deputy Captain - Environment

5. Captain & Deputy Captain - Cultural Activities 11. Captain & Deputy Captain – Social

Development

Criteria
i. 1 to 12 are open to the current Grade 11 students (Senior School)
ii. 1 to 3 are open to the current Grade 7 students (Middle School)
iii. 3 to 12 are open to the current Grade 10 students for position of Deputy Captain

This application is open to only those students who will be continuing their studies in the school in the
next Academic Year.
