In modern society, watching television is a daily activities of almost all the

families to spend leisure time and gather around. Simultaneously, the number of
violent programs on television is increasing rapidly. People argue that those
contents have an adverse impact on children, whereas other people deny.
Personally, I totally agree with the first statement.
Today’s modern technology provides children with a wide range of available films,
series and videos displaying severals of categories. Honestly, watching televisions
might bring certain benefits for children. Children can broaden their minds and
learn more fun. They can update their knowledge by watching prestigious channels
like national television channel VTV, many world-famous ones National
Geographic, Discovery to explore wildlife…For some children who does not have
much time to play outside, TV is a good means of relaxing.
However, the above advantages are only reasonable for children who watch
informative programs. Whereas, more and more children are approaching toxic
programs which can cause many negative impacts. It effects directly on young
children, who are not old enough to distinguish the right or wrong. Children are
likely to imitate the wrong actions they see on the screen. They will form their bad
personality and easily commit society's vices. In addition, people will tend to
tackle the problems by fighting, behaving aggressively because they get used to
violence or crime.
To conclude, in cases of audiences who are children, violent programs really have
a lot of dangerous drawbacks and adults must be serious worried about it. Parents
and the society should pay more attention to young kids and select appropriate TV
programs that children allowed to watch.
