SRCB Vision
We, the members of the academe of St. Rita’s College of Balingasag, Inc.,
envision to live Christ-Centered Ignacian-Marian community open to new
horizons grounded in solidarity, communion, and involvement with faith,

4-Year DEGREE COURSES Teacher Education Program

The Teacher Education Program is a pre-service preparation of professional


teachers for the primary and secondary levels of education. Imbued with Chris-
tian ideals, professional and ethical values, students are trained to render quality
service as teachers.

Goal:
The Teacher Education Program prepares reflective teachers with the potential
for professional leadership who demonstrate academic and professional excel-
lence, have sound personal qualities, have a commitment to education and life-
long learning, demonstrate world citizenship, and are committed to the faith.

Objectives:
At the end of four years, the graduates will be able to:

1. Gain comprehensive techniques and strategies in teaching-learning process


and achieves a technology-driven proficiency in the actual delivery of the learn-
ing concepts with dedication, competence, and compassion, based on a deep and
principled understanding of the diverse types of learners, learning environment,
learning process, and the implications of these processes to larger historical,
social, cultural and political contexts;

2. Achieve harmonious development of their powers and capabilities; spiritual,


mental, physical, social, and emotional and take every opportunity to continue
their professional growth and development to better fulfill their mission as teach-
ers.

Outcomes:
1. Articulate and discuss the latest developments in the teaching practices and
respond to God’s call in fulfilling the mission of teaching for the growth and
Christian formation of the students;

2. Deliver creatively and innovatively the teaching process skills (including


curriculum development, lesson planning, materials development, educational
assessment, and teaching approaches) guided by the tenets of the Ignacian core
values where the faith-life dimension is faithfully integrated into all lessons;

3. Make a periodic evaluation of the effectiveness of utilized approaches to


improve students’ academic performance and spiritual growth;

4. Communicate effectively in writing and in oral form using both English and
Filipino to fulfill one’s mission as God’s messenger of hope and love to the young
generation;

5. Conduct relevant and meaningful researches and utilized findings to improve


instructional processes;

6. Monitor student’s progress through various assessment tools, make sound


decisions and formulate relevant and innovative interventions to propel them
towards becoming productive citizens of heaven and society;

7. Demonstrate cultural awareness to collaborate effectively with multi- dis-


ciplinary and multi-cultural teams, for a more effective and excellent teaching
performance;

8. Exercise responsible citizenship and take pride in being a Filipino, inspired by


Ignacian Marian leadership and virtues of honesty, integrity, and nationalism;

9. Engage in various types of employment activities and public discourses in


response to the needs of communities one serves;

Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BSCRIM)


4-Year DEGREE COURSES Teacher Education Program

Goal:
The Criminal Justice Education Program aspires to produce criminologists that
would reveal professionally service-oriented, dynamic, and competent individu-
als that would effectively respond to the call of public service.

Objectives:
The Criminal Justice Education Program hopes to achieve the following objec-
tives:

1. Equip the students with substantial knowledge and skills in crime investiga-
tion and detection;

2. Expand one’s learning and interests in the conduct of criminological research


and pursue further studies;

3. Demonstrate competently the enforcement of laws, rules, and regulations


with humility without regard for position and power;

4. Maximize one’s potential in crime prevention, suppression, and control;

5. Protect lives and properties with courage and humility;

6. Participate actively in all endeavors that promote and ensure public safety
and order maintenance.

Outcomes:

1. Conduct criminological research on crimes, crime causation, victims, and


offenders to include deviant behavior;

2. Internalize the concepts of human rights and victim welfare;

3. Demonstrate competence and broad understanding in law enforcement ad-


ministration, public safety, and criminal justice;

4. Utilize criminalistics or forensic science in the investigation and detection


of crime;

5. Apply the principles and jurisprudence of criminal law, evidence, and crimi-
nal procedure;

6. Ensure offenders’ welfare and development for their re-integration into the
community.

Goal:
At the end of the program, the students will be able to:

1. Apply principles of leadership in employment and community;

2. Apply business principles to the unique characteristics and demands of the


hospitality and tourism industry;

3. Demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to function effectively in a


diverse and global organizational environment;

4. Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in work habits and communi-


cation skills;

5. Demonstrate a high level of service quality in diverse settings/population;

6. Analyze and solve problems using qualitative and quantitative tools.


Objectives:
At the end of the program, the students will be able to:

1. Gain adequate skills in communication and technology, problem-solving,


decision-making, and interpersonal relationship, attitudes, and work habits that
are in consonance with Ignacian Marian values of faith, excellence, and service;

2. Know by heart the rudiments and dynamics of hotel and restaurant processes
and operations in the context of international standards;

3. Achieve proficiency in the provision of quality food and beverage production


and service, quality housekeeping and front office operations, marketing and
cost control as well as;

4. Develop entrepreneurial skills to become economically sufficient and produc-


tive;
5. Cultivate and nurture their passion for guest service.

1. Manifest a sound knowledge of the tourism and hospitality industry, its
trend and developments, both in the local and international context guided by
the Ignacian Marian values of faith, service, and excellence;

2. Demonstrate competencies of food and lodging operations and management


as well as entrepreneurial related business activities in providing quality guest
service thereby enhancing God’s gifts and talents;

3. Observe and implement global standards of hospitality operations and man-


agement with a commitment to excellence in a Christ-centered working envi-
ronment;

4. Demonstrate creative and innovative thinking in solving problems and mak-


ing faith-based decisions relevant to hospitality management;

5. Exhibit effective interpersonal and communication skills and high degree of


service orientation giving honor and glory to Jesus, the Model Communicator
and the wellspring of harmony and unity;

6. Exercise Ignacian Marian leadership in the performance of their tasks and

7. Utilize responsibly information and communication technology in enhancing


the quality of business processes in the hospitality sector, as an aid in delivering
efficient and effective guest service; thus, fulfilling the mission of stewardship;

cultural heritage by designing local tours to historical and cultural sites and by
enriching regional products;

The Information Technology program prepares students for careers as pro-


fessionals equipped with the necessary theoretical and practical training both
in the classroom and laboratory, as well as field experiences gained from the
industrial sector. Specifically, the program aims to produce information tech-
nology professionals.

Goal:
1. Communicate effectively with the computing community and with society at
large about complex computing activities through logical writing, presentations
and clear instructions;

2. Creates a comprehensive analysis of the effects on computing information


technology to individuals, organizations, community, and society;

3. Demonstrates an understanding of the legal and ethical issues on the access


and use of information technologies;

4. Maximizes one’s potential through purposeful training and practice for con-
tinuing professional development.
Objectives:
At the end of the program, students are expected to be:

1. Technically competent, responsible, creative and analytical thinkers, actively


participating and contributing towards the advancement of science in general,
and information technology in particular;

2. Able to supply the concepts and principles of natural physical sciences ap-
propriate for information technology actual situations in the government, utility
services, commercial and industrial sector;

3. Up-to-date with the latest advancement and trends in the information tech-
nology, and able to adapt these to the work environment;
4. Able to perform social, moral, and spiritual obligations aimed towards the
improvement of the life of their fellowmen.

Outcomes:
1. Use appropriately one’s knowledge in computing, science, and mathematics
in the IT field;

2. Explain best practices with correct standards in project design, development,


and deployment;

3. Examine complex problems and identifying the correct computing require-


ments to create an appropriate solution;

4. Assess user requirements for the selection, creation, evaluation, and admin-
istration of computer-based systems;

5. Design, implement and evaluate computer-based systems, processes, com-

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Program major in: – Finan-


cial Management – Human Resource Development Management – Marketing
Management

The Business Education Program equips students with adequate functional


knowledge and skills to meet the growing manpower needs in business and in-
dustry.

Goal: Imbued with the Ignacian Marian Core values of faith, humble service,
and excellence, the graduates of this program manifest a high sense of integrity
and accountability, dedication, and commitment to assume supervisory and
managerial responsibilities within their organization, pursue graduate studies
in business and management and manage a business.

Objectives:
The graduate of the BSBA program will be able to:

1. Demonstrate knowledge of the management process and an ability to assess


industry attractiveness and the competitive environment;

2. Apply fundamental processes, theories and methods to business communica-


tion in the workplace by effectively communicating orally and in writing using
both English and Filipino;

3. Develop Marian-Ignacian leadership and interpersonal skills to promote


change, communicate vision, provide a sense of direction and inspire employees;

4. Exemplify the practice of the Gospel values with a strong sense of nationalism
and social responsibility to preserve and promote Filipino historical and cultural
heritage;
