There are three simple verb tenses, namely;
 Past
 Present
 Future

The tenses of verbs tell us actions relates to


the flow of time.
Simple tenses usually refer to a single action.
In general, simple tenses express facts and
situations that existed in the past, exist in the
present, and will exist in the future.

For example:

Past: I cleaned my closet yesterday.


Present: I cleaned my bedroom every day.
Future: I will clean my shoe rack later.
The time expression in the sentences help in
identifying the tense of the verb.

Examples:
