LETTER OF MOTIVATION

Dear members of selection committee of Swedish Institute of Scholarships for Global

Professionals
I am by the names of Bayiyana Ingrid and I have been fortunate to find such an
amazing opportunity while I was looking for educational opportunities in the field of
finance and accounting. I completed my Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration
majoring in Finance in 2018 at Makerere University Business School located in Kampala
Uganda and as I took a major in finance I then developed a passion and interest in
developing my career further in that sector. Since then I have started to work in
different places while gaining some hands on experience and putting the knowledge ii
earned to use in the different organizations I have worked at with the most recent being
the Uganda Revenue Authority which is a government parastatal that is in charge of tax
collection in Uganda. I then developed a desire to widen knowledge and gain more
practical skills with the opportunity being given by the Swedish Institute of
Scholarships to study a Master’s Degree in Sweden at their amazing universities and to
also learn from the professionals who have spent a long time and made a genuine and
inspiring career in the finance sector. I believe that finance too has a future despite the
fact that everything is technical in the era that we live in and almost everything has
been added to the artificial intelligence, we still need the hands on expertise of people
because computers too need to be upgraded and they will not give a genuine opinion of
what some companies of individuals seek for. Therefore I decided to apply for Masters’
program in Finance to gain the variable knowledge and be able to use it to help
different nations in need of it not only in Africa but also the world at large.
