(13) A man’s property was distributed among his wife and three sons. If the wife got half the
share and the remaining was distributed equally among his 3 children such that each child
gets Rs.50,000 , what was the worth of the property and how much did the wife get ?

(14) The length of a rectangle exceeds the width by 14 cm. The perimeter of the rectangle is 160
cm. Find the length and width of the rectangle.
Ans. Length = 47 cm ; breadth = 33 cm

(15) Find the number when 15 is subtracted from 7 times of the number , the result is 10 more
than twice of the number.
Ans. The number is 5.

(16) The vertex angle of an isosceles triangle is 64°. Find the measure of other two angles of the
triangle. Ans. 58°
