Package Engineer:

A Package Engineer is the person responsible for leading the Package Team and is the one who
generates the requisition for the Packaged Equipment and shall have ultimate responsibility to provide
the direction and co-ordination of the design specification, fabrication, testing, installation and
commissioning.

Package Engineer are supported by nominated representatives from SCM, other relevant disciplines and
HSEQ, who with the Package Engineer become the “Package Team”.

Package Engineer have the responsibility for all aspects of a package from preparation of bid documents
through to acceptance of the package by the site.

Responsibilities of Package Engineer:

1. Package Specification Preparation


 Input to Basis of Design
 Equipment Specification (Including Issued for IDC)
 Request for Quotation (RFQ)
2. Pre-Award
 Package Supply Planning
 Prepare Enquiry Requisition
 Supplier Pre-Qualification
 Tender Review
 Technical Bid Evaluation
 Prepare Purchase Requisition
3. Post Award
 PO Award
 Package management & Co-ordination
 Documentation Review and Approval
 Engineering Design Review
 Package Inspection and Acceptance
 Package Expediting
 Commissioning and SAT
