What is
NANOTECHNOLOGY?
What is
NANOTECHNOLOGY?
It is the manipulation of matter on a near-
atomic scale to produce new structures,
materials and devices. The technology
promises scientific advancement in many
sectors such as medicine, consumer
products, energy, materials, and
manufacturing.
RICHARD FEYNMAN
WHO’S RICHARD
FEYNMAN
The father of nanotechnology is
considered to be American
physicist Richard Feynman. He
introduced the concept in 1959,
during his talk, “There's Plenty
of Room at the Bottom”
BRIEF HISTORY OF
NANOTECHNOLOY
Nanoparticles and structures
have been used by humans in
fourth century AD, by the Roman,
which demonstrated one of the
most interesting examples of
nanotechnology in the ancient
world.
What is the advantage of nanotechnology?

Nanotechnology also lowers

costs, produces stronger and
lighter wind turbines, improves
fuel efficiency and, thanks to the
thermal insulation of some
nanocomponents, can save
energy.
What is the disadvantage of nanotechnology?

Additional disadvantages
include economic disruption and
possible threats to security,
privacy, health and the
environment. Nanotechnology is
already making new materials
available that could revolutionize
many areas of manufacturing.
WHAT IS THE FUTURE IMPACT AND USES OF NANOTECH?

As with all technologies, nanotechnology

carries a significant potential for misuse
and abuse on a scale and scope never seen
before. However, they also have potential to
bring about significant benefits, such as
improved health, better use of natural
resources, and reduced environmental
pollution.
That would be all thank you!! ☺☺☺
