LIBRARY BASE WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT

Select any one journal from the central library of recent 3 volumes,
identify one research article which focuses and analyses the Indian
economic environment. This is an article review and analysis assignment.
The report to be prepared in clear hand writing and not maximum of four
pages. The list of journals are as follows:
1. Journal of Banking & Finance
2. International Journal of Central Banking
3. Journal of Banking Regulation
While reviewing and analyzing the article, one must keep the following
points:
1. Write about the problem discussed in the article or report
2. Highlight the details of data presented (time period, data variables,
economic model presented if any etc.)
3. Explain the analysis of each variable presented in the report
4. Final summery based on the reading of the entire article/report.
5. The photocopy of referred article must be attached with the assignment
report.
6. Must avoid duplication/repetition of assignment by any member of the
class for the submission.
The objective of the assignment improves student:
1. Research Skills: Students will learn how to effectively search for, evaluate, and select
credible sources of information, which helps them develop critical research skills applicable
in various academic and professional contexts.
2. Critical Thinking: Engaging with research papers requires students to analyze and
synthesize complex information, helping them develop critical thinking skills by evaluating
arguments, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and forming their own opinions.
3. Writing Proficiency: Through the process of composing a research paper, students
improve their writing skills, learning how to structure an argument, convey complex ideas
clearly, and properly cite sources following academic conventions.
4. Information Literacy: Students will enhance their ability to assess the quality and
relevance of sources, thereby becoming more information literate and better equipped to
make informed decisions in their studies and beyond.
