Setting up Real Time Availability Monitor (RTAM)

Monitor Options:
Activity-Based (Monitor option 1): Reads from YFS_INVENTORY_ACTIVITY table and
fires the REALTIME_AVAILABILITY_CHANGE event
Quick Sync (Monitor option 2): Reads records from YFS_INVENTORY_ALERTS table
and fires the REALTIME_AVAILABILITY_CHANGE event
Full Sync (Monitor option 3): Publishes data to YFS_INVENTORY_ALERTS table and
fires the REALTIME_AVAILABILITY_CHANGE event

Setup Steps:
1) Create a distribution group for your enterprise
a) Navigate to DOM(Change to your enterprise)Cross ApplicationOrder
PromisingSourcing and SchedulingProduct Being ShippedDistribution Group
b) Click add to create a new Distribution group
c) Create a new Distribution group
d) Click add to under Distribution Details
e) Add Nodes with priority you want to include in Distribution group
f) Priority is not unique

2) Create a Monitor rule for your enterprise


a) Navigate to GIV(Change for your enterprise)Inventory RulesMonitor Rules
b) Check the checkbox “Use activity-based mode for Real-time availability monitor”
c) Select your distribution group created in step1 in the drop down for “Distribution Group
to use for Node Level Monitoring”

d) Set the Availability Monitor/ Inventory Monitor relog interval as “0.01”
e) Click save
f) Click “+” sign for “ATP monitor rules” under “Monitor Rules” tab
g) In the detail window select the radio button “Event Based ATP Monitor Rule” and set the
boundaries: high, medium and low quantities

3) Configure your agent


a) Navigate to PlatformProcess ModelingGeneral TabGeneral process
typeOpen Real Time Availability Monitor
b) Make the “REALTIME AVAILIBILITY CHANGE” event Active
c) Attach and event handler “Publish data” (From ActionsTemplates)
d) Save changes
e) Double click on “Publish data” action and navigate to “others” tab
f) Check the checkbox “Send to alert console” and select the “DEFAULT” queue from
the queue name drop down
g) At the bottom under System ID select “SYSTEM” and delete that
h) Click on “+” sign under system ID and give name as “RTAM”
i) Save changes
j) Navigate to “Time Triggered” tab on real time availability monitor transaction page
k) Double click on “REALTIME_ATP_MONITOR_OP1” and configure the JMS info
l) Double click on “REALTIME_ATP_MONITOR_OP2” and configure the JMS info
m) Click on criterion tab for this agent and make the
“RaiseEventOnAllAvailibilityChanges” flag to “Y”

n) Double click on “REALTIME_ATP_MONITOR_OP3” and configure the JMS info
o) Check the checkbox “Schedule trigger message” and set “Schedule trigger message
interval (Min.) as “1”
p) Click on criterion tab for this agent and make the
“RaiseEventOnAllAvailibilityChanges” flag to “Y” and set the
“InventoryOrganizationCode” as your organization code

4) Create a fulfillment type and set basic configuration for your enterprise
a) Navigate to DOM(change to your enterprise)Cross ApplicationOrder
PromisingSourcing and SchedulingFulfillment Types
b) Click “+” sign in fulfillment
c) Enter Fulfillment Type as “PRODUCT_SOURCING”, short and long description as
“Fulfillment Type for Product Sourcing”
d) Save changes
e) Navigate to DOM(change to your enterprise)Cross ApplicationOrder
PromisingSourcing and SchedulingBasic configuration
f) Select “Fulfillment Type for Product Sourcing” for “Default fulfillment type to be used
when not specified on order”
g) In “Product being shipped section” select “Find node based on sourcing rule setup” radio
button and select the distribution group created in step1 in “default distribution group to
be used when no sourcing rule found” drop down

Setting basic configuration

5) Set the monitor rule on all items that you want monitored for your monitor
a) Navigate to Catalog Management(change for your enterprise)ProductsItems
b) Click search button
c) Select the item you want to monitor
d) Navigate to “Inventory Info” tab on item detail page
e) Select the ATP rule for your enterprise
f) Select ATP monitor rule created in step2
g) Save changes

Assigning monitor rule to item

6) Start your agent in the mode that you want:


a) Option 1 for Activity Based - publishes to YFS_INVENTORY_ACTIVITY
b) Option 2 for Quick Sync - reads from YFS_INVENTORY_ALERTS
c) Option 3 for Full Sync - publishes to YFS_INVENTORY_ALERTS
