A brief summary
He spends the day mostly indoors watching movies and
hiding in his thoughts. He buys a record of his
deceased brother’s, Allie’s, favorite song “Little
Shirley Beans”, making evident his grief. As the day
continues, his loneliness and grief intensifies, leading
him to call Sunny, one of his former classmates,
arranging to meet her later that evening, hoping to
avoid isolation.
