PILING CONCRETE (C35)

C35 concrete mix ratio - ( 1:1:2:0.5)

— Cement density - 1,440kg/m

— Sand density - 1,600kg/m³
— Stone density - 1,80kg/m³
— Water density - 1000kg/m³
Proportion of the components

P_C = 1/( 1+1+2 ) = 0.25

P_S = 1/( 1+1+2 ) = 0.25
P_st = 2/( 1+1+2 ) = 0.5
P_W = 0.55/ ( 1+1+2) = 0.355

To Confirm the density of the concrete (2400kg/m³):

D = 1440 x 0.25) x ( 1600 x 0.25) x ( 1800 x 0.5) x ( 1,000 x 0.355)

D = 2400kg/m³

( Calculating for 10 inches pipe with 12m in depth ( with 6 longitudinal rods
and Stirrups)

10 inches = 0.254m, r = 5 ( 0.127m) , L =12m, V= 3.14159

V= πr²L = π(0.127)² (12)
V = 0.61m³

Subtracting the Longitudinal rods (16mm) and stirrups (8mm) that are
inside the pipe.

V= πr²L = 3.14159 x (0.008)² (12)

V= 0.0024m³
For 6Rods = V = 6(0.0024) = 0.0144m³

Let's assume that there are 24 stirrups.

V= πr²P = π(0.004)² (0.798) = 0.00003m³

V = 24 ( 0.0003) , V = 0.0007m³

Concrete that will fill up the pipe by subtracting the volume of rods and
stirrups from the volume of the pipe.

V= 0.61 - 0.0144 - 0.0007 = 0.5949m³

Weight of concrete

W = V x D , W = 0.5949 x 2400 = 1,428kg

Material needed for concrete work (weight)

Q.c = P. C x W = 0.25 x 1428 = 357kg

Q.s = 0.25 x 1428 = 357kg
Q.st = 0.5 x 1428 = 714kg
Q.w = 0.355 x 1428 = 507kg

In Volume =✓

V.c = Q.c / D.c = 357/1440 = 0.248m³

V.s = 357/1600 = 0.223m³
V.st = 714/1800 = 0.397m³
V.w = 507/1000 = 0.507m³

So, One Bag of Cement (50kg - 0.035m³) will

require
= 51kg of sand - 0.031m³
= 102kg of stone - 0.057m³
= 72kg of water - 0.071m³b
