SUBJECT : Zumba Fitness Program for All

______________________________________________________________
I. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT
This proposal intends to help engage the citizens in the community in
terms of health and fitness approach. This program will contribute to
one’s wellbeing and physical activeness.

II. BACKGROUND OF THE CHOSEN COMMUNITY

2.1 HISTORY OF THE CHOSEN COMMUNITY

Barangay 171 is a barangay in the city of Caloocan. Its population

as determined by the 2020 Census was 111,713. This
represented 6.72% of the total population of Caloocan. The
household population of Barangay 171 in the 2015 Census was
98,103 broken down into 22,857 households or an average of
4.29 members per household. The population of Barangay 171
grew from 6,757 in 1990 to 111,713 in 2020, an increase of
104,956 people over the course of 30 years. The latest census
figures in 2020 denote a positive growth rate of 2.76%, or an
increase of 13,547 people, from the previous population of 98,166
in 2015.
2.2 PHYSICAL STRUCTURE OF THE COMMUNITY

2.3 MAP OF THE COMMUNITY (FROM NUFV TO THE COMMUNITY)

2.4 ISSUES IN THE COMMUNITY

The barangay faces the lack of health fitness and is concerned

with the wellbeing of the community, moreover, the barangay
needed to check up on their community if they are fit and healthy.

III. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT

3.1. SUMMARY OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT

The barangay is experiencing lack of health fitness in the vicinity

of their community, and the interviewee mentioned about the
wellbeing and fitness of their community, so we came up with the
idea to engage the community with a zumba event where
everyone can participate. Since this is a normal fitness activity,
where we showcase different dances and exercises patterns to
our audience, we won't have any problem showcasing or being
an instructor to them. Unless we want to hire an expert zumba
instructor to fully utilize this program.

3.3. MATERIALS NEEDED

ITEM QUANTITY
Speakers 3 big
Microphone 2
Gallons of water 3 big

3.4. BENEFICIARY OF THE PROJECT

We want to utilize our event by promoting and registering various

people so that everyone can be fit and have a chance to
participate. In barangay 171, the council is concerned with the
wellbeing of children and senior citizens, that’s why we want all
children, adolescent, and senior citizen participants.

III. VENUE OF THE PROJECT

Barangay 171 Covered Court will be a nice venue since this place is within
the area where the barangay is located and it has a spacious space where
people can move freely.

Aside from the Covered Court, Caloocan Sports Complex will also be a
good venue since this is a closed area and air conditioned and also
spacious where people won’t be sweating too much. But it will be pricey
since we will rent the area or unless the Barangay will pay and
accommodate the venue.

IV. TARGET PARTICIPANTS

Everyone who wants to join and is capable of joining the fitness program.
This fitness program aims to give everyone the exercise they need for their
bodies and to be healthy and have an active body.
