Hardware and Capture Algorithm

Highly Accurate 3D Inspection Over the Full Field of View

In-head parallel processing that enables high-speed inline inspection

Equipped with a dedicated in-camera processor. This allows the system to capture the next
image into the buffer while processing the previous captured image to optimize speed.

XY Normalization
Since a camera is comprised of multiple
parts, there are unavoidable errors due
to individual differences in the hardware
such as the lenses. The XT Camera has
XY normalization processing to
minimize these differences.

6
9.44 megapixel CMOS image sensor
for high-resolution images
Equipped with a 9.44 megapixel CMOS image sensor, best-in-
class for inline 3D cameras. Capable of high-accuracy wide-field
image capture in both 2D and 3D.

Telecentric lenses with no deviation

due to positioning
The use of high-precision telecentric lenses reduces the impact
of the imaging angle and allows for images to be captured
without blind spots, allowing the user to see the actual
dimensions of the workpiece.
Standard Lens Telecentric Lens

Direction-independent 4-transmitter
RGB projector
Captures images without blind spots and without any impact from
imaging direction through use of 4-directional pattern projection.
Illuminates using individual RGB lighting, allowing for high-
resolution color images to be captured like those captured with a
3CCD camera.

Reduced impact from gloss and

multiple reflections
Dual-axis light projection algorithm
Projects and analyzes different projection patterns at 90-degree
angles, reducing the impact of multiple reflections from glossy
surfaces.
Reflected light that creates noise data is eliminated.

Capture using patterns with minimized multiple

reflections
Changing the projection pattern at locations where conventional
patterns tend to result in invalid pixels due to gloss and other
factors allows the user to capture images with minimized
instances of these invalid pixels.

any location on a 3D shape at any angle and
any position and of measuring the actual

❚ 3D Blob

Capable of Inspection Using Actual Height and Volume

Can measure heights and volumes for presence checks and appearance inspections using the actual dimensions. Uses actual
dimensions to measure the volume, cross-sectional area, maximum height and other features, allowing for inspections of solder
irregularities, cold solder joints, bridges, peaks and other anomalies.

Capable of inspecting multiple solder points simultaneously. Simultaneously evaluates actual dimensions for multiple items in each sector.

Simple Settings for Multi-Point Inspection

Easy configuration, even for inspections which are typically time-consuming using conventional settings such as multi-point
inspections across multiple sectors.
Capable of inspecting up to 32 sectors and up to 9999 3D blobs using a single setting configuration.

❚ Subtraction (3D Blob)

Capable of Subtraction Processing Using 3D Data

Enables the detection of flaws in resin parts, including random defects which have spontaneously occurred, by comparing the object
with OK products to give a full 3D picture.

[1]
Volume 0.635 mm3

The defect cannot be seen in 2D images. However, when using the subtraction process from the 3D data, it is
possible to reliably inspect differences using actual dimensions.

❚ 3D Real-time Image Extraction

Subtraction Processing Even When Shape of Non-Defective Workpieces Varies

3D real-time image extraction allows for spontaneous defects such as solder balls to be detected, even for inspection targets for
which the shape of a non-defective workpiece is not set.
