INTRODUCTION

From July 19 to August 19, I had the privilege of undertaking my On-the-Job


Training (OJT) at Shoreline resort, a picturesque destination offering catering and
bar services. This experience allowed me to immerse myself in the hospitality
industry, gaining practical insights into resort operations, catering management,
food, and Beverages services.

Objectives

The primary objectives of my OJT at Shoreline Resort were to:

Learn about the intricacies of catering management, including food preparation, and
event coordination and so on.

Gain hands-on experience in providing exceptional customer service in a resort


setting.

Develop teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills within a dynamic


hospitality environment.

Activities and Accomplishments

During my OJT at Shoreline Resort, I engaged in a diverse range of activities and


achieved several milestones, including:

Assisting the catering team in food preparation, and presentation for various events
such as weddings, corporate gatherings, and birthday parties.

Participating in event coordination, including liaising with clients, managing


logistics, and ensuring seamless execution of catering services.
Collaborating with colleagues from different departments to address challenges and
deliver exceptional experiences to resort guests.

Receiving positive feedback from supervisors and guests for my professionalism,


attention to detail, and dedication to providing outstanding service.

Challenges Faced: Throughout my OJT, I encountered various challenges that


tested my adaptability and resilience, including:

Managing multiple tasks and priorities during peak periods of resort activity.

Adapting to the fast-paced and demanding nature of catering events. Dealing with
unexpected changes or last-minute requests from clients.

Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly in food


handling and catering service.

Learnings and Insights

My OJT experience at Shoreline Resort provided me with invaluable learnings and


insights into the hospitality industry, including:

The importance of attention to detail and meticulous planning in delivering


memorable catering experiences.

The significance of effective communication and teamwork in ensuring smooth


event coordination and guest satisfaction.

The importance of contacting costumers is necessary before or after the service.

The importance of controlling your emotion during argument with clients is a must.
Always be a respectful and be a professional on that situation.
Conclusion

In conclusion, my On-the-Job Training experience at Shoreline Resort was both


fulfilling and enlightening, offering me a glimpse into the dynamic world of
hospitality, catering, food and beverages service. I am grateful for the opportunity to
learn from experienced professionals, hone my skills, and contribute to the success
of the resort. This experience has not only deepened my passion for the industry but
has also equipped me with valuable skills and knowledge that will serve me well in
my future career endeavors.

DEDICATION

I would like to dedicate this to my dearest family, especially to my beloved older


sister ALOAH JANE, who support me for my allowance during this On-the-job
Training (OJT), and for helping me whenever I needed something, she always there
to support me. And thank you Mr. JEROME MALDO for allowing us to explore
and develop our knowledge and abilities to this environment. And I would like to
express my gratitude to all of you, who express their concerns and for giving me a
reason to continue this journey. Even though I don’t trust myself, but they’re always
put in trust on me. So, I, myself need a self-reliance for making their expectation into
reality.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I would like to express our sincere gratitude to our boss, Anastasia A. Idjao Jr., for
her invaluable guidance and support during our On-the-Job Training (OJT) at
Shoreline Resort. His mentorship has been instrumental in shaping our professional
growth and development. Additionally, we extend our heartfelt thanks to God for
providing us with the strength, resources, and opportunities to thrive during our
time at Shoreline Resort. We are grateful for the blessings bestowed upon us,
allowing us to both works diligently and enjoy the fulfilling experience of our work.

inspired me and left a lasting impression on my professional growth.
