STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I am privileged to present my statement of purpose, which encompasses my personal background,

academic accomplishments, and my motivations for selecting the USA as my preferred study location.
Additionally, I have outlined my aspirations for my future career.
INTRODUCTION:

It is my great pleasure to introduce myself. I am Kamal Dangaura Tharu, the son of Mr. Pheru Bahadur
Dangaura Tharu and Mrs. Dil Devi Chaudhary. My birthdate is January 24, 2005, and my permanent
residence is located in Gulara, LamkiChuha 6, Kailali, Nepal. I am a proud Nepalese citizen, holding a
Nepalese passport with the number PA1832242. I am a fervent and optimistic individual, constantly
striving for personal growth and seeking new horizons in life. This drive has endowed me with increased
confidence, competitiveness, and a penchant for continuous learning.

FAMILY INFORMATION:
My family consists of four members, including myself, my father (Mr. Pheru bahadur Dangaura Tharu), my
mother (Mrs. Dil Devi Chaudhary), and my brother (Mr. Partap Dangaura Tharu). Our family shares a strong
bond characterized by understanding and cooperation. I feel immensely grateful to have such loving and
supportive parents who have made it possible for me to pursue my education abroad. We are closely
connected emotionally, socially, and economically, and I deeply appreciate their hard work and sacrifices
to ensure a bright future for all of us. I am committed to making them proud and not letting them down.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIAL:
I would like to describe my academic achievements. I completed my School Leaving Certificate Examination
(SEE) from Cambridge English Boarding School, Baliya, Kailali with a CGPA of 3.80 in 2021. After that, I
decided to join my course of interest, which is Science. For that, I joined Capital Secondary School,
Koteshwor, Kathmandu and took my intermediate exams (XI and XII) from the National Examinations Board
(NEB). With my interest and hard work, I was able to secure a CGPA of 3.28, which I completed in 2023.
After graduation from college, I was confused either to join college in Nepal or start to join PTE
(Pearson Test of English) classes. However, I realize that education of Nepal only tests our memory
but it doesn’t test our intelligence. Then I thought wisely and from my parent’s permission I
started joining PTE class and gave exam on 13th September 2023 and got overall score of 66.

Throughout my academic journey till date, I have always been a hardworking student possessing
boundless amount of curiosity in every new subject along with a creative mindset. Therefore, I
did proper and independent research in finding out college which offered computer science
course in my country. Although I found universities like British College, ISMT College, Presidential
Business School offering some related course but the course curriculum of the related course in
my country did not fascinate me. Furthermore, educational institutes in my country mainly focus
on theoretical knowledge rather than practical one. Those Universities and colleges have less
updated curriculum which lacks case studies, seminar and presentations. So, I planned for
overseas studies. Regarding the subject, I want to delight my career in the developer sector. It
opens the gate of huge employment opportunities in IT companies like Versik Nepal, Logpoint,
Fusemachines, Deerwalk, F1Soft International after graduation, especially in software developer,
web developer, cyber security related goals. In this course there are various subjects in are
included so that students will have the wide range of knowledge and skills to be the part of huge
Technology sectors company or even I can start up my own IT company. Apart from opportunities,
it’s about interest as well and I have a keen interest in computer science field and always wanted
to hold a prestigious position in a prestigious company in my home country. I see my future in this
sector and to achieve this I preferred to get an international degree in a good college which fulfill
my all criteria as an international student.

I choose USA for study to improve my English skills, experience the American way of life, to
become independent, improve my career chances, create a memory of lifetime, and improve my
cultural understanding. As the birthplace of Microsoft and Apple Inc, earning a degree in
computer science can provide diverse experience. USA has the innovation to create systems that
have brought the world together through a screen. To earn degree or certificate as an
international student in Bachelor in computer science. USA has got the top Information
Technology schools.

After my graduation I will definitely return back in my country Nepal because I have to look after
my family. I have my parents, my relatives, friends, culture and tradition; in short, my world is
here. In addition, achieving success in the place where I was born and raised would be winning a
battle for me. So yes, I will be returning back to my country and using my skills in Nepal.
