1. Constructivist theory's explanation is in the name itself. Constructivist or construct is a
way to let students construct their own knowledge about a specific topic or idea. It start from the teacher giving out ideas or topics without context. For example, a teacher showing how to solve improper fractions, upon doing so and without any explanation at all the students would try to lool at it and figure out a way on how the teacher was able to conclude to the answer and by doing so they are constructing their own knowledge on how to solve improper fractions. 2. Constructivist theory is applicable in teaching math as well as towards other subjects as well simply because it helps with the student's metacognitive mevelopment. It helps them develop higher order thinking skills every time they try to figure out and construct their own ideas upon a topic.
