Rules for Science Lab:


1. Responsible Handling: Students must handle all equipment and materials in the
science lab with care and responsibility.
2. No Unauthorized Experiments: Students are not allowed to conduct experiments
without the supervision of a teacher or lab supervisor.
3. Reporting Damages: In case of any damage to equipment or materials, students
must immediately report it to the teacher or lab supervisor. Failure to report
damages may result in additional penalties
4. Prohibited Actions: Running, horseplay, and any other behavior that may
endanger oneself or others are strictly prohibited in the science lab.
5. Cleanup Responsibility: Students are responsible for cleaning up their
workspaces and properly disposing of any waste materials after completing their
experiments.
6. Following Instructions: Students must follow all instructions given by the teacher
or lab supervisor regarding the use of equipment and conduct of experiments.
7. Attendance: Students must attend all scheduled lab sessions punctually. Absences
should be communicated to the teacher in advance.
8. Respect for Equipment: Students must respect all equipment and materials in the
lab. Vandalism or intentional damage will not be tolerated.
9. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Students must wear appropriate PPE,
such as safety goggles, gloves, and lab coats, as instructed by the teacher or lab
supervisor.
10. No Food or Drink: Food and drinks are not allowed in the science lab to prevent
contamination of experiments and equipment.
11. Lab Equipment Records: The lab in-charge is responsible for maintaining
records of all lab equipment. This includes keeping track of the condition of each
item, its usage, and any damages incurred. These records will be periodically
checked by the head of the department or designated authority.
12. Documentation of Equipment Usage: Teachers are required to document which
pairs of students are assigned to use specific instruments during lab sessions. This
record should include the names of students, the equipment used, and the duration
of usage.
13. Handover Protocol: At the end of each lab session, teachers must hand over the
responsibility of the equipment to the designated supervisor. This involves
ensuring that all instruments are accounted for and returned to their proper places
in the lab.
14. Prohibited Activities: Certain activities such as eating, drinking, or engaging in
rough behavior are strictly prohibited in the lab. Any violations of these rules may
result in disciplinary action.
