 Topic Distinguishing Sources of Information

 Introduction Good information generates new ideas. This is the existing


knowledge and new opportunities improving one’s ability and
learnings. Information can come from any source. It could be
through online, broadcast or in print. These are what we call
sources of information.

1. Pronunciation. It is the way the words are pronounced.

2. Volume. It is the quality or power of the voice.
How does the change in volume of your voice affect the message of
the news.
3. Rate. It is determined by the speed and the pauses used in delivering
the news.

4. Pitch. It is the highness and lowness of tone or the modulation of the
voice expressing a particular feeling or mood.

An online source of information is material you find online. These


sources provide information through the use of internet connectivity.
Broadcast source of information covers a wide spectrum of different
Communication methods such as television, radio, newspaper, magazines and
any other materials supplied by the media and press. This source of
information may use without internet connection.
Print source of information is exactly as its name suggests. These are
D. EXPLANATION the materials that have been printed and can be produced in a hard copy.
However printed sources have one benefit. They generally have been through
some type of critical review process that prevents poor material from reaching,
the library shelves. In other words, some type of quality control has typically
taken in order for publication to occur.
