In May 1969, 21-year-old Hillary Rodham was chosen to deliver the commencement address to her
graduating class at Wellesley College. Her opponent, on the other hand, then-Senator Barack Obama,
had opposed the war. And when children drink toxic water through lead pipes, it has an impact on
their learning ability, on their health. Through it all, Hillary Clinton always stood by her husband’s
side, famously proclaiming there was a “vast right-wing conspiracy” against the couple. She
defended her use of a personal address, saying it was done solely of out “convenience” and insisted
that all of her government-related emails had been turned over to the State Department. Sen. Edward
W. Brooke glossed over the issues that troubled the 401 graduating seniors at the all-women’s
college, per the Globe, and Rodham had something to say about that — a daring move at that time.
From her role as one-half of a political power couple to her years defending herself amid scandal,
here are fourteen defining moments that have shaped Clinton's life: 1. Oratory is no longer a central

the freedom to take risks, make mistakes, even fail in front of each other. One of his threatened
