Can you provide an overview of the types and quantities of solid waste generated by your eatery on
a daily basis?
Cups and leftover foods from customers, as well as the packaging of our ingredients and products since we
usually transfer them into containers.

How is the solid waste currently managed and disposed of?


Every end of our shifts, we initially gather our wastes and dispose it into the provided trash bins by the owner
of the café right outside of the store. We separate the wastes into three, food wastes, containers and plastics.

Are there any specific types of waste that you believe pose particular risks or challenges?

Do you have any established recycling or waste reduction practices in place?


We use sustainable packaging and recycled materials. For instance, we use PP/PET cups for hot beverages
and reusable plastics for cold beverages. We also reuse our milk boxes as takeout packaging.

Are there any hazardous materials used or present in the solid waste generated by your eatery?
No.

What measures are in place to prevent contamination or health hazards related to the disposal of
solid waste?

Are there any local regulations or guidelines you follow regarding solid waste management?
Since the city has mandated proper waste segregation, we try to make sure that our wastes are well
segregated for easier collection.

How often is waste collection and disposal carried out, and by which service providers?
We gather our wastes every end of our shifts at around 11 pm, and the waste collectors would usually come
by during mornings at around 7 to 9 am.
Have there been any past incidents or issues related to solid waste management that you are aware
of?
Yes. Although we have our own set of areas for disposal, people from around the vicinity would also fill in the
trash cans, particularly those who live in apartments. As a result, the bins would overflow and people would
complain about the café even if all the trash weren’t directly from us.

Are there plans or initiatives to improve or modify your current solid waste management practices?

kasi alam ko po talaga na nagmandate ang city na dapat hiwahiwalay po.

Wala naman po.

Parang araw-araw naman po dumadaan ang city, ang waste col.

Opo sa hot po namin, paper po, nung una po nakaplastic po kami yung mismong clear,ay ‘di nga po allowed
ng city, nag-ano po kami ng reusable na PP cup po ata tawag doon, ‘yan po ay resuable po pwedeng dalhin,
tapos po ‘yung amin pong takeout ay ‘yung mga reused milk box na ginagamit din po namin.
Sa halip po na gumamit kayo ng plastic na gawa, cinucut out nyo na lang po sya para maging ano?
