Menopausal Experience
Myrna Rebalos Dujali, a mother of two,

went through menopausal stage when she was 44.

Menopause was a challenging experience for

Myrna, but she was able to overcome it and

continue on with her life. We ask “How many days

or months have you had with your period?” Myrna

answered, "I got sick for almost 1 year because I

didn’t get my period for more than a year.

For Myrna, it was a 50/50 life. She only got her period twice a month, which
she considered to be her usual period. Dysmenorrhea is the additional problem that
she faced.

In addition, we asked, "Did you give birth normally or by caesarean


section?" She replied that she had a cesarean section, noting that the procedure hurt
and that it was difficult for her to move. She did a almost 1 month recovering the
pain.

When she started menopause, she would get headaches, dizziness, and
weakness.

Lastly, she had difficulty breastfeeding her child, but she managed it by
taking medication because she has an issue with her breast that prevents producing
milk.
