John 3:3 says

A. Admit that you are a sinner. (10 commandments in Exodus 20)
Repent. Stop doing the things God says not to do.
Be sorry enough to quit them.

B. Believe that Jesus is the Savior of the World, the Sacrificial Lamb who
died for your sins and the sins of the whole world.
“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that

the world through Him might be saved.”—John3:17

C.Confess that you accept Jesus as your personal Savior and ask Him to
be the Lord of your life, your Captain.
Romans 10:9 “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and
believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be
saved;”

D. Declare it. Go tell someone.

Acts 8:37 “Therefore whoever confesses / declares Me before men, him I
will also confess/declare before My Father who is in heaven.

Galatians 5:19-21 God's Spirit and Our Own Desires (CEV Contemporary English Version)

If you are guided by the Spirit, you won't obey your selfish desires. The Spirit and your desires
are enemies of each other. They are always fighting each other and keeping you from doing what
you feel you should. But if you obey the Spirit, the Law of Moses has no control over you.
People's desires make them give in to immoral ways, filthy thoughts, and shameful deeds. They
worship idols, practice witchcraft, hate others, and are hard to get along with. People become
jealous, angry, and selfish. They not only argue and cause trouble, but they are envious. They get
drunk, carry on at wild parties, and do other evil things as well. I told you before, and I am telling
you again: No one who does these things will share in the blessings of God's kingdom.

Plenty of Scriptures that tell of sins that will not inherit the
kingdom of God.
