extend a cordial invitation to your school to participate in our prestigious NUSTWEBB debate
tournament.

The NUSTWEBB Debate Tournament aims to provide a platform for talented debaters to showcase their
skills, engage in intellectual discourse, and foster critical thinking abilities. We believe that your would
greatly enrich the tournament and contribute to its success.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS:
• Date: 8th and 9th March
• Venue: Dominican Convent High School
• Format: British Parliamentary Style
• Team Composition: 2 debaters per team
• Maximum Teams per School: 4 teams

Prizes:
• Winner: The team that emerges victorious will be awarded the prestigious title of Tournament
Champion and a Shield.
• Best Speakers: Exceptional individual debaters will be recognized for their outstanding oratory
skills and persuasive arguments.

Additional prizes and awards may be announced as the tournament progresses, providing participants
with further opportunities for recognition and celebration of their talent and hard work.
We assure you that the tournament will be conducted professionally, adhering to fair judging standards
and providing a competitive yet supportive environment for all participants. It will be an excellent
opportunity for your students to enhance their public speaking, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
while networking with fellow debaters from various schools.

To signify your school’s interest in participating, we kindly request you to confirm your intent by 2 March
2024. We will also require a small registration fee of $20, going towards stationery and other
tournament costs. If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to
