Message from the Head of Middle School
As the Head of Middle School, I am obliged that with every passing year, we have been successful in maintaining a productive yet safe space for our children. The whole team works together to bring learning ‘alive’ and extend their experiences so that they are well prepared for their next steps of education. We believe an independent child is a successful child and we work to ensure every child enjoys school and achieves success. DEFENCE DAY The students of Middle School celebrated Defence day on September 6th which was a huge success. Defence day is celebrated all around Pakistan to commemorate the sacrifices made by Pakistani soldiers in defending it's borders. Some students dressed up for this day and each class performed different skits, speeches and poems allied with this day and the happenings and troubles that the brave soldiers of the Pakistan army went through to achieve such a success.
INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY
The students of Middle School celebrated
International Literacy Day on 8th September as is celebrated throughout the globe to remind the public the importance of Literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights. Students showcased their talents and their love for books by setting up a table filled with different novels enjoyed by many. They also presented empowering speeches about people in our society who have contributed to literacy and the betterment of our society. This day was truly inspirational for us all. Peace Day The students of Middle School celebrated Peace Day where the entire middle school floors were decked out with decor and artwork made by our talented students. The students also performed different speeches, skits and poems they had prepared infront of their peers. This day inspired many students and taught them about the message of peace. It is celebrated each year as a global reminder of humanity's collective aspiration for harmony, tolerance and understanding.
Qiraat and Naat Competition
The Naat and Qirat Competition amongst the different grades of Middle School was truly a wondrous way of celebrating Eid Milad un Nabi. The students elicited their talents by recitating surahs and naats in their melodious voices. After each of the students performed, our panel of judges decided which student truly stood out from the crowd and they were able to choose 3 students from their respective grades to present awards to. The day ended with a heartfelt speech from the principal and the head of middle school. INTER CLASS MATH COMPETITION
The students of Middle School
took part in a cut-throat Inter Class Math Competition, which undoubtedly was unmatchable. 3 of the best students in Maths were chosen from each class as they truly put their problem solving abilities to work in order to win a trophy for their class. Different questions were asked in the form of mcqs and the class to ring the buzzer first and give the right answer would be given a point.
INTER CLASS BILINGUAL DECLAMATION CONTEST
The Inter Class Declamation Contest was held to test
students public speaking abilities through a series of rounds and different topics which they will argue on to either oppose against it or agree with the matter. 3 rounds were held in which students prepared debates referring to the topics provided to them. The final was held in the auditorium where the best students were selected and after presenting their astounding debates on stage, the panel of judges decided the winners among them and they were given awards accordingly. Field Trip The Middle School's annual field trip was an absolute blast! It was the perfect opportunity for the students to escape the academic stress and simply have a day filled with pure fun. They all headed to the cinema in their busses where they were greeted with mouthwatering snacks to munch on while enjoying an awesome movie. Once the film ended, each class gathered together, capturing those precious moments with group photos. It was an unforgettable day, creating memories that will last a lifetime for both the students and the teachers who accompanied them.
Teacher Exchange Program-Germany/Pakistan
Mentors from Germany visited LGS Paragon to teach and guide children more about the German language. Students made conversations with the mentors in German as they asked them about general questions on their everyday lives. This was a great opportunity for all the German students to truly enhance their language speaking skills. ACHIEVEMENTS
WORLD SCHOLAR’S CUP
The World Scholars Cup is an annual academic
program, in which more than 15,000 students from over 65 different countries participate every year. The World Scholars Cup aims at trying to engage with students and teach them interesting things, not taught in school lessons. It's a chance for students to engage in debates, collaborative writing, and team challenges. The WSC is worth joining since it really improves management, teamwork, research, organization, writing, and debating skills. The World Scholar's Cup covers a wide range of subjects, from science and history to literature and art. One of our many talented Middle School students, Maliha Hassan participated in and won many gold medals at the Worlds Scholar’s Cup-Tournament of Champions at Yale University.
INTERNATIONAL KANGAROO SCIENCE CONTEST
Students of Middle School took part in the
International Kangaroo Science Contest, a renowned competition in which students from all over the globe take part in. Our students achieved great results at Provincial and National Level and were awarded certificates and badges. GERMAN SPELLING BEE COMPETITON Three of our most talented German students were selected to take part in the 7th National PASCH German Spelling Bee competition where they truly tested there German speaking capabilities and showcased their talents. Our students secured 3rd position making the entire LGS Paragon proud. We are proud of you Shavez, Malaika and Famia!
JUNIOR GAMES-FUTURE WORLD SCHOOL
Our Middle School students took part in
the Junior Games which took place at Roots Future World school. Our Middle School students secured the award for "Best Delegation" and won many medals in Dodgeball, Sprint, Relay race, Football, Basketball, Cricket, Badminton, Tug of War and Throw ball. STUDENT COUNCIL 2023-2024
