INTRODUCTION
We create a device dubbed a "smart key detector," which is a keychain that is attached to
any key that we frequently forget or misplace. When we push the trigger button on the
smartphone app (blynk), this device emits a loud sound. We frequently arrive late to work
or class, which is a concern in our society. Our investigation revealed that a couple of
these issues—whether they pertain to house keys or car keys—are caused by the issue of
losing keys or forgetting where they are. When using this tool, all that is required of the
user is opening the smartphone app (blynk) and pressing the trigger button.
In daily life, people frequently overlook trivial yet crucial details. forgetting where
they put their house keys or car keys, for instance. Additionally, some persons
frequently experience the issue of dropping the key. Finding it will be a waste of time
and effort as a result. Even worse, if a person is late for work, the employer will
reprimand them and they will undoubtedly be late.
4
1.3 Objectives
1. to investigate that the project produced can give benefit to the public.
2. to construct a facility for people where this tool can save their time and energy
3. to develop the name of port dickson polytechnic in the eyes of the world
1.4 Scope
This complete project will be powered by the Lithium polymer Battery and
AMS117-3.3V is used to regulate 3.3V for the ESP8266-01 board. VCC and
CH_PD pins of ESP8266-01 are connected to the output pin of AMS1117 while we
connect the GND pin to the negative rail of the battery. The positive terminal of
Buzzer is connected to the GPIO2 pin of ESP8266 while the negative terminal of the
buzzer is connected to the GND of ESP8266-01so we are done with the connections.
Now we proceeded with assembling the PCB.
i. This study is crucial because it will help people who frequently lose track of where they
place their keys, including house keys, automobile keys, and more. Additionally, it can
assist those who misplaced their keys within a specific radius of locations.
2.1 Introduction
The researcher have done research on the literature review on two previous project on
their advantages and disadvantages.
2.2.1 Smart Key Detector by MUHAMMAD HAMSYARI HAMIZAN BIN MUHAMMAD ZAIDI
The project to be built is "SMART KEY DETECTOR". The RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) technology is a well-
known wireless application for traceability, logistics, and access control. It became ubiquitous in industry and our daily
life (ticketing, payment, passports, car keys, etc.). RFID is nowadays a standardized technology; its inherent advantages,
which are unitary, identification, wireless communication, and low cost of tags, provide it with decisive practical benefits
that drive new developments in terms of concepts and applications. This trend is largely confirmed by the market forecast,
but also by its implementation in the area of health (smart hospital), assistance to persons, anti-counterfeiting, as well as
by its perspective in terms of new paradigms for distributed ambient intelligence and the Internet of Things. The first part
of this paper briefly reviews the fundamental concepts of the RFID technology, and shows its link with the radio science.
A state of the art including the presentation of current performance and developments is also summarized. The second part
illustrates the impact of RFID to the service of our society with a focus of applications in the field of autonomy and handicap.
Finally, the last part highlights a panorama of perspectives and the future directions of RF applications dedicated to the
service of Humanity. With Bluetooth and GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) module widen their scope and
enhance the application areas to a greater extent. This idea is reinforced by the fact that the GSM infrastructure has been
deployed in many countries and can be used as the communication via to receive signals captured by remote machines.

2.2.2 DIY IoT Based Smart Key Finder using ESP8266
Agree it!!! It has happened to all of us. Many times we misplace our keys and go
searching for them everywhere in the house, and after a long search, we end up finding
them with much distress. Now, the obvious solution here is to place your keys in their
right place, but as engineers, what’s the fun in doing that. So, in this tutorial, we are
going to build a simple IoT-based Smart Key Chain just using ESP8266-01, Buzzer,
and Battery. Now in case if you can’t find your keys and you remember that you have
attached an IoT keychain to your keys, so you take out your phone and open Chrome
and open your Keychain Webpage. Then you click on the toggle button, and in
moments, you hear a beep sound coming from your keychain and with this, you can
easily track your keys.
2.3 Summary
All of the project above are used to locate misplaced or lost keys. The Key Detector will
make a sound from the buzzer that was connected with mobile phone.

CHAPTER 3 METHODOLOGY
3.1 Introduction
We created a compact, cubical smart key detector. Lithium polymer batteries will be
used to power the entire project, and the ESP8266-01 board's 3.3V supply is controlled
by the AMS117-3.3V. The ESP8266-VCC 01's and CH PD pins are linked to the
AMS1117's output pins, and the GND pin is connected to the battery's negative rail.
While the buzzer's negative terminal is linked to the ESP8266-01 GND, the buzzer's
positive terminal is attached to the ESP8266 GPIO2 pin. Coding is also used for this
project

3.2Project Design and Overview
i)As you can see in the image below, the PCB quality is as good as it has always been
when we created our own PCB and ordered our PCB from PCBONLINE. The top
layer and bottom layer were completed with precision, using the correct visa and
track spacing. Below is a diagram showing the board's top and bottom layers. I began
building the PCB after verifying that the footprint and footprint were accurate. The
following image depicts how a fully soldered board appears:
ii.) We made the decision to stick with the current design as the one that will be
implemented in the project that will be created.
. iii) The overall decision involves which design should be used to study a topic.

3.2.3 Project Description
In this subtopic, writers should write an explanation all about their project. In this
writing, it has to show the engagement of autonomous learning, ability to solve
problems with excellent new ideas and it should show excellent ability of selflearning.
Project Description is a formally written declaration of the project and its idea and
context to explain the need and problem to be addressed, potentials pitfalls and
challenges, approaches and execution methods, resource estimates, and other relevant
information that explains the need for project start-up and aims to describe the amount
of work planned for implementation. The focus of the project description is put on
creating a clear and correct understanding of the project. Use the latest technology in
information transfer and develop new ideas in project development and problem
solving. Writers should know how to think creatively in developing new projects.
we are going to build a simple IoT-based Smart Key Chain just using
ESP8266-01, Buzzer, and Battery.

i. smart phone
smart phone have been used to operate this project, first smartphone is used for user
which is have an apps and will be a button in the app to trigger the buzzer using
internet and mobile hotspot .
ii. connection
this smart keychain must have connection between ESP8266-01 and mobile phone .
when the ESP8266-01get the connection, it will function

iii. Buzzer
when the ESP have connected to the devices, users should click the button on their
smartphone and then the the buzzer will produce beep sound

CHAPTER 4
EXPECTED RESULT
4.1 Introduction
Our project is anticipated to produce the outcomes depicted in the prototype
diagram above. This smart key detector works as a keychain that is attached
to a key, and it can locate a missing key.
16
CHAPTER 5
CONCLUSION
This project requires a cost that affordable to build and execute in every institution. It
is very suitable for people who are careless and forgetful about their important keys.
The researcher has developed a smart key detector. Using the concept of detecting a
lost key in a certain radius. This seems to be robust way to handle a forgetful attitude
and careless problem. This can be very useful to use for those who are always forgot
and lost their ke
