Choose one of the following topics for your project.

After choosing the topic, write a paper using the following guidelines.

Organization And Guidelines

PART 1—DEFINITION OF THE TOPIC

• Do some research on the topic you chose. Use books, magazines, or news.
• You can quote as many sources as necessary, but you need to create your own definition of the topic.

PART 2—DESCRIPTION OF ITS IMPORTANCE

• Describe the importance of learning about the topic you chose.


• Describe the topic’s application in personal and in professional contexts.

PART 3—NARRATE YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Narrate how you learned about this topic: When did you start studying it? / How have you deepened
your knowledge on this topic? / How has this topic changed your personal and/or professional life
perspective?
• Narrate situations in which you experienced the topic’s applicability.

PART 4—ARGUMENTATION

Defend your point of view answering the following questions.

• Do you think it’s important that more people learn about this topic? Why?
• Do you intend to keep on learning more and talking about this topic? Why?
• Would there be social benefits if more people were taught this topic? If so, which ones? If not, why?

Procedures

• Your paper needs to be handed in to the coordinator one week before the exam day.

• Your paper needs to have at least two pages following the text format required.

• Do some research on the topic before you start writing.

• Include sources whenever you quote authors, news, or articles.

• Make sure you cover all the points.

• Make sure you proofread your paper before handing it in.

• On the exam day, you will have 10–15 minutes to present your paper. You will not be allowed to read
it aloud, but you can and should prepare supporting materials such as a PowerPoint presentation,
handouts, or articles to be quoted. Be ready to answer any questions from the coordinator about your
paper.

• Typeface: Times New Roman

• Point size: 12

• Font color: Black • Left and right margins: 3 cm, upper and lower margins: 2.5 cm

• Bold for titles and subtitles
