Jenesys Cultural Exchange Program Phase II 2022

Summary:
Our presentation will highlight the areas we have visited in Japan, the new findings we have
learned, and the action plans we will conduct in the next three months to promote Japan and the
Jenesys program.
New Findings:
- Foremost, the very first step on the land of Japan, got us all amazed by the beauty of the
country.
- Japan is very well structured, clean and organised, with great infrastructure.
- The people here are very respectful and disciplined and always carry a smile on their
faces
- A customized farming approach by utilizing technology to maximize yield.
- A trip to Higashi Nippon International University showcased the immensely high
standard of tertiary education Japan has to offer.
- Visit to Spa Resort Hawaiians proved how an underperforming business is revived by a
second plan, and through sheer commitment, it surely has a great success rate
- TEPCO Decommissioning Archive Center provided us with the necessary information
for a better understanding of the impacts of the 2011 Fukushima earthquake.
- The Homestay experience was the highlight of the trip.
- We had the privilege of learning the Iwaki way of life closely and discovering the
amazing landmarks that the city has to offer.
- Aquamarine Fukushima displayed beautiful sea creatures that closely mimic their natural
habitat

Action Plans
• Promoting Japan’s value through SNS (Social Networking Service).
• Create an awareness program highlighting Japan to the community – Talanoa discussion
session.
• Plan a get-together for JENESYS alumni with their families and friends.
• Becoming a self-ambassador in promoting Japan to the people around.
