05057SG003E (i) Toka Tindung Detail Design

Rev E Numbering Specification
1.0 GENERAL
This specification sets out the numbering systems to be used for the Toka Tindung gold
project.

The Toka Tindung project will utilise process, mechanical and electrical equipment
recovered from the El Tambo gold plant in Chile and incorporate some aspects of the El
Tambo plant design.

The design will also incorporate some aspects of a previous design completed for the
Toka Tindung project by Proteus in 1998/1999.

The numbering systems for the project have been set up to minimise as much as possible
the amount of engineering design work required to incorporate existing items consistent
with producing clear and consistent documentation for construction of the new plant.

05057SG003E -1- Toka Tindung Detail Design

Rev E Numbering Specification
2.0 AREA NUMBERING
The Toka Tindung area numbers for the project are listed in Appendix A.

Area numbers are generally borrowed from the equivalent El Tambo area numbers except
where this would clash with Area numbers in those sections of the previous Toka Tindung
design that are being retained in the current design. For example, Area 21 in El Tambo is
already an assigned number in Toka Tindung, so this changes to Area 30 in Toka
Tindung.

MCCs will be numbered after the Area in which they are located.

05057SG003E -2- Toka Tindung Detail Design

Rev E Numbering Specification
3.0 EQUIPMENT NUMBERING
Equipment numbering shall have the structure as follows:

AR-CO-nnn-Mn

Where:

AR : Two digit AREA identifier as per Appendix A of this document.

CO : Two alpha COMMODITY identifier as per list in Appendix B.

nnn : Three digit sequential number, unique to the Area and Commodity (tied to AREA).

The combination of AR-CO-nnn shall provide unique identification of an equipment item.

Mn: (Optional) Additional single alpha (‘M’) and single digit sequential number (‘n’),
reserved to provide unique identification of individual motors within the same
equipment item.

Packaged and vendor equipment performing a concise process function consisting of

multiple items shall as far as practicable be allocated one Equipment Number (with the
exception of distinguishing between multiple motors).

El Tambo equipment will be re-numbered in accordance with this section.

The equipment numbers from the previous Toka Tindung design will be used for new
equipment in the following areas, because these areas are being installed in accordance
with the original design without significant changes, except that commodity codes will be
revised as necessary to match the list in Appendix B:

Area 6 Water
Area 10 Magazine
Area 22 Workshop
Area 25 Fuel
Area 71 Reagents

05057SG003E -3- Toka Tindung Detail Design

Rev E Numbering Specification
4.0 PIPING NUMBERING
Pipeline numbers shall have a structure as follows:

AR-dn-FL-nnnn-Spe

Where:

AR : Two digit Area code as per Appendix A of this document.

dn : Nominal pipe size in mm (two or three digits).

FL : Two alpha Fluid Code shall be as set out in “05057-SM-004 Specification for
Piping Material and Valves.

nnnn : Four digit sequential number, unique for each fluid code without duplication
throughout all project areas.

Spe : One alpha, two digit Pipe Spec shall be as set out in “05057-SM-004 Piping
Material and Valve Specifications”.

05057SG003E -4- Toka Tindung Detail Design

Rev E Numbering Specification
5.0 VALVE NUMBERING
Valve numbering shall indicate valve size and type only.

Valve numbering shall have the structure as follows:

dn – Vttt - A

Where:

dn : Nominal diameters shall be the nominal valve size in mm (two or three digits).

Vttt : “V” followed by a three digit valve designation as specified in 05057-SM-004

Specification for Piping Material and Valves.

A: Optional single alpha (“A”) to denote an actuated valve (pneumatic).

05057SG003E -5- Toka Tindung Detail Design

Rev E Numbering Specification
6.0 ELECTRICAL NUMBERING SYSTEM
All electrical equipment numbering, codes, cable and wire numbers shall be carried out in
accordance with the latest revision of Electrical Design Criteria 05057-SE-015.

05057SG003E -6- Toka Tindung Detail Design

Rev E Numbering Specification
7.0 INSTRUMENTATION
The instrument identification, loop numbering, cable and wire numbers shall be carried out
in accordance with the latest revision of the Electrical Design Criteria 05057-SE-015.

05057SG003E -7- Toka Tindung Detail Design

Rev E Numbering Specification
8.0 PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEM INPUT/OUTPUT WIRING
NUMBERING SYSTEM
The process control system input/output wiring number shall remain as per the El Tambo
numbering systems and is described on the latest revision of the Electrical Design Criteria
05057-SE-015.

05057SG003E -8- Toka Tindung Detail Design

Rev E Numbering Specification
9.0 DOCUMENTATION NUMBERING
Numbering of documents other than drawings (described in Section 10.0) shall be in
accordance with the Proteus standard document numbering system, attached in
Appendix C.

05057SG003E -9- Toka Tindung Detail Design

Rev E Numbering Specification
10.0 DRAWING NUMBERING
Drawing numbers will be assigned by the Coordination Drafter for the project. Drawings
shall be identified by a Client drawing number in the title block and Proteus drawing
number in a secondary Proteus block in accordance with Proteus standards.

The Proteus drawing numbers will follow standard Proteus procedure.

The Client drawing numbers will match the format of the previous Toka Tindung design as
follows:

AAA – AR – A – XXXX

where:

AAA : DWG designates a drawing document

STD designates a standard drawing

AR : Two digit AREA identifier as per Appendix A of this document.

A: One or two letter identifier for the engineering discipline as listed below.

XXXX: Four digit sequential number. Sequential numbers for new drawings shall start
at 1000 in each discipline group to differentiate them from existing drawings
from the previous Toka Tindung design that are being re-used for this project.

Discipline groups shall be as follows:

A General
B Process
BF Process Flow Diagram
BP Piping and Instrumentation Diagram
C Columns, pressure vessels
D Tanks
E Exchanger
F Fired Heaters
G Pumps and drivers
H Vacuum Equipment
J Instruments
