3D Modeling and Animation

Individual Assignment Brief:


Lassana Homes, an interior and exterior design company, received a project to complete, and
they are ready to hire you to develop the following 3D models.

The models are required to develop the interior designs, and this is the final version of the
project. You need to design complex models of the environment for this project.

Task:
Use 3D Studio Max software to model and animate the objects.
The project is to construct a house’s living room. The building’s living room plan is
provided.

Model the following objects.

● Ceiling Fan
● Picture frames cabinet
● circle table and tablecloth with a teapot and teacup set
● LED wall-mounted Television
● Settee (3 pieces) with a stool. A pillow in each chair. The flower vase is on the stool.
● Wall attached Water fountain on the side.
● Grill window with animated curtains.
● Wall lights (lights on)
● Adjustable table lamp (light up)
● Picture Frames on walls
● Set the creative environment light setup for the living room.

Animate the following objects [500 frames - PAL DV]

● Ceiling Fan (constant speed).


● Place a target camera on the scene and move the camera in a given path. [Constant
speed is required throughout the time duration. You can control the camera that wait
or slow the movement in a specific object i.e. a wall mounted picture frame.]

Production submissions:
● LMS Submissions
5 rendered images covers the whole environment (Place another Camera/s to render images
from different angles of the environment).
○ Screenshots on each 3d model (both wireframes and textured models)
● SharePoint Submissions
○ MPEG Video (HD wide screen Frame)

Note that:
 Use your index numbers to name your project files and the document.

Tips:
 Use the metric system of units for the environment to model the objects.
 Model different objects individually and merge them later.
 Justify the originality of the designs. (use multiple screenshots of the model in
different levels of the completions).
 Map a video clip to the television, to make the realistic scenery.
 Include background music for the postproduction, if you wish.
