Please apply for transfer of this visa when the passport expires.
Visa is invalid if holder is outside NZ with expired travel conditions.
You must travel to New Zealand before the date specified. If you do not enter New Zealand before
this date, your resident visa will no longer be valid.
Once you arrive in New Zealand, the travel condition that specifies the last date you may travel and
re-enter New Zealand, will allow you to travel outside New Zealand and be granted re-entry as a
resident when you return. This condition will be valid for two years after you first arrive in New
Zealand as a resident.

After you have held your resident visa for two years, you will be eligible to apply for a permanent
resident visa. Permanent resident visas are not subject to travel conditions and do not expire.
