TENTMAKERS INSTITUTE

MINISTRY UPDATES
a) Great Commission Challenge Camp (GC3)
The goal in 2024 is to train 300 young people who will actively engage in the 3 Friends Campaign.
Therefore, we hope to have 5 camps, with each camp to train 60 people. So far, we have held two
camps (in Maiduguri and Jos). 45 young people were trained in Maiduguri, where 4 people
trusted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. In the Jos camp, 52 young people were trained, while 5 of
them accepted Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. This means 97 people have been trained so far.
Plans
To review and reprint the Tentmaker Manual by April, 2024.
To recruit for GC3 in June from April
To host the remaining GC3s for the year:
1. Jos GC3 June 26 - 29
3
2. Jos GC July 17-20
3. Abuja GC3 August 14 -17 (this is subject to change)
4. Jos (Reunion) November 22-23
To explore available partnership opportunities for GC3. There is currently a request to host GC3 in
Kaduna, Gombe and Chad. When the proposals are ready, there will be a more concrete plan.

b) Purity Retreat (PR)

The Purity Retreat seeks to help young people pursue a life of righteousness and purity in their
dealings with God and man. Special emphasis is usually placed on the relationships of young
people, who are encouraged to pursue spiritual and sexual purity. The goal is to train 60 ladies
and 60 gentlemen in two camps.
Plans
To adapt the materials available into a generic one for us by April, 2024.
To host the PR on scheduled dates:
1. Jos PR April 5-7 (Ladies) and April 12-14 (Gents)
2. Jos PR October 23-26 (Ladies) and November 12-14 (Gents)
To explore more partnership opportunities for hosting church-based Purity Retreats. ECWA Unity
Church - August 16-18 (Ladies) and August 23-25 (Gents) and ECWA Seminary Church are the
current ones which we intend to pursue.

c) Inductive Bible study Seminar (IBS)

The Inductive Bible Study has been a training of the International Center of Evangelism for a
while. We hope to launch out this year with two IBS trainings. The goal is to train between 60
young people on this essential Bible Study Strategy and interpretation method. These ones will
be taught to study, obey and teach their friends.

To adapt the materials available into a generic one for use by April, 2024.
To recruit for IBS in May from March
