NONG AND KATH WEDDING PROGRAM SCRIPT

I. CALL TO ORDER

Good day, ladies and gentlemen. May I have your attention, please! We are about
begin our celebration, so please find a seat and make yourself comfortable. And,
while we are waiting for our newly weds, we have there prepared a photo slideshow
of the couple, you are free to watch it po. And, of course there is also a photobooth
(outside/at the corner/at the back/) of this reception. It is already open for souvenirs,
so if you want to have souvenir with you guys, just feel free to visit the booth and
take the opportunity to have it.

II. WELCOME ADDRESS

: "The journey to forever is NEVER EASY, because to stay in love is always a


decision and a choice." and, that is the exact reason why we are all gathered here
today; to celebrate that decision, that choice, and the love between NONG AND
KATH as husband and wife and as they take their ROAD TO FOREVER.

Our dear guests, family and friends; a pleasant day to everyone! And now, it
my pleasure to welcome all of you to Nong and Kath’s Wedding Reception; who are
now Mister and Misis Villare.

We are just done with the solemn part of today’s celebration where we have
witnessed two hearts joined as one, and now we gather in this mesmerizing venue to
continue celebrating life and love. So, sit down, relax and enjoy the rest of the day!

I am NELVINCENT CHRISTIAN A NACIDO,

And I’m RUBILYN J. CAMACHO, and we have been given the task by the
couple themselves to be your emcee for today’s celebration. We thank you all for
gracing this joyful occasion, especially to those who have travelled miles away just to
be with this us today.

II. PARADE OF THE ENTOURAGE

At this juncture, let us now witness the parade of the WEDDING


ENTOURAGE.

Excited na ba kayong makita ang bagong kasal? They are already lined up at
the entrance hall. But first, let’s all take a closer look to our entourage who as well
stood witness in the sacred matrimony of Nong and Kath.

Starting the line-up are our beautiful girls who showered the aisle with the
colourful flowers (read the names in the invitation)

Thank you girls! Next are the symbol bearers (read the names in the invitation)

And now, let’s call up the pairs who symbolically lighted the couple’s path.

who will be with us here in front, they are the young at heart and spirit, the very

So, ladies and gentlemen let us welcome the parents of the groom, Mr. Victor
Villare Jr. and Mrs. Merlie Villare. Let’s give them a round of applause, please

And now, approaching the hall are the parents of our lovely bride, Mr.
Bernard Recania and Mrs. Evelyn Recania.

III. ENTRANCE OF THE BRIDE AND GROOM (Traditional eating of sweets


and Money Bridge)

And Now, let’s all get up our seats as we welcome the honeypots of the day,
the couple of the hour, the reason why we stand here today. Ladies and gentlemen, let
us all welcome and witness the entrance of the newlywed couple, but before they do
their grand entrance, they will do the traditional eating of sweets which will be served
by ___________________________

There you have it, ladies and gentlemen! I assume that everone is excited to
see that grand entrance of the newlyweds. May I request our lovely Matron of Honor,
Ms. Crischelle Recania to please facilitate the welcoming party for our newlyweds.
Today calls for a grand celebration and it is my distinct pleasure to introduce to you
for the very first time, Mr and Mrs JAYMARK & KATHREN JOY VILLARE as
husband and wife.

So without any further ado, let’s help the newlywed approach the center and be
able to celebrate with us through making a bridge – the MONEY BRIDGE

Thank you, Kath and Nong sa pagpapa-unlak sa aming request. And now
ladies and gents, before anything else, we would like to acknowledge the key persons
who took a great part of this joyous affair, for without their support, this event would
not have been made possible. Ladies and gentlemen, it with great pleasure to
introduce to once again the parent of the groom, as I call your name, please stand to
be acknowledged po, Mrs. Merlie C. Villare, and the father, Mr. Victor Villare Jr.
A big round of applause please for the parents of the groom

And of course, the ever supportive and loving parents of the bride, a big hand
for Mr. Bernard Recania and Ma’am Evelyn Recania. Thank you very much
parents for your unwavering support.

I hope everyone’s attention is in the couple as they do the CAKE CUTTING


TRADITION… May we request Non gang Kath to go towards the cake for cutting
and eating

So, ayan, bakit nga ba palaging nakikita natin ang ganitong eksena pag may
kasal? Para ba kiligin? Or siguro para makita natin sa kanilang dalawa kung sino ang
mas malakas kumain?? Well, the cake symbolizes the couple’s unity, their shared
future, and their life together as one.

WINE TOAST

A celebration is never complete without a toast and a bottle of good wine. So


this time, let’s fill our glasses with any drink that we could get.

Ladies and gentlemen, it takes a strong and intelligent man to realize his
dreams and achieve his goals in life and in love. A man that is not afraid to live life to
its fullest and embrace what is truly important. To give us a toast in celebrating two
people who have come together today to form a uinion that will surely last forever.

Everyone, let us all stand up and raise your glasses and join the Best Man, Mr.
Vincent Paul C. Villare to talk about Nong and Kath, a round of applause please.

[INSTRUCTIONS: Still raises his glass and addresses the guests as Vincent Paul
speaks]

[Everyone makes a toasts and drink from their glasses]

Thank you Bong and thank you ladies and gentlemen. You may now be seated

DOVE RELEASE

And now, the bride and groom will now do the DOVE RELEASE. May I
request the newlyweds to please come forward and each get a dove.

The two doves signify that Nong and Kath being released to start their new
journey together. Like the two doves, whatever happens, they will always try to seek
the comfort of each other and their home together. This is where they know that they
will find love. A dove always chooses one mate for life, and it signifies love,
faithfulness, joy, and hope.

Non gang Kath are now ready, so we will now release the doves, at the count
of three, you’re going to release the doves…one…two…three…and there you go!!
That was really beautiful!

VII. MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL SPONSORS

And now we are about to partake the ,food that this couple has prepared for
each and everyone of us, but before that, let’s listen first to the words and wishes
from our very own principal sponsors.

Thank you sir! And now, from the circle of our Ninangs, we call on Ma’am

VIII. GRACE BEFORE MEAL


Well, I guess the food is ready and I know you are already starving, so the
lunch will commence shortly. So, may I call on _________________________ to say

X. TABLE HOPPING FOR SOUVENIR PICTURES

On behalf of Nong and Kath and their parents, we would like to express their
heartfelt gratitude for your presence at this momentous and memorable even. At this
point, the newlyweds would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone personally
for your presence. Kath and Nong will now go from one table to another to greet each
and everyone, and also, to have their souvenir picture taken with their guests

[simultaneously, our Matron of Honor will assist the newlyweds and ensure that
the couple have their basket, wine, and glasses]

XI. BRIDE AND FATHER DANCE

Alright, I think everyone is satisfied with the food that we had partaken just a
moment ago, Once again, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon. This momentous
event is indeed a special occasion for our newlywed couple and will be forever
cherished in their memory. For today, it will mark the beginning of their new life
together. From this day forward, they shall be one, and on this joyful beginning what
could be more fitting than to celebrate it with their first dance.

But, before we see the couple on their first dance, we will be witnessing first
the groove of our Bride’s father, Mr. Bernard Recania, ang pinaka unang lalaki sa
buhay ni kath bago pa man dumating si Nong, and also the gracefulness of kath, our
ever gorgeous bride of the hour for their Bride and Father Dance.

Ladies and gentlemen, let’s give it up for tatay Bernard and Kath,

XII. FIRST DANCE (BRIDE AND GROOM)

Alright, ladies and gentlemen, that part was really awesome! And now, one of
the most awaited moments in this program is the FIRST DANCE of our lovely
newlywed couple.

The FIRST DANCE symbolizes the consummation of their wedding vows.


This dance is the wedding couple’s first cooperative engagement and joint endeavour.
As saying goes, ‘it takes two to tango.” So, ladies and gentlemen, it is once again my
privileged to present to you NONG and KATH VILLARE with their FIRST DANCE.
[Newlywed couple will dance their first dance with romantic music – after the
first chorus PANTOMINA MUSIC WILL FOLLOW]

IXV. BOUQUET TOSSING (GAMES)

ALRIGHT, at this juncture let’s all have fun and it is time for the traditional
Bouquet Throw. At this point we would like to invite all the single ladies to please
come forward for the bouquet throw. And, we would also like to request the bride to
come forward and take her place at the center stage, please

[the emcees will wait for the single ladies to come forward]

Ladies kindly take your place behind the bride and get ready to catch the
bouquet. It is said that whoever would catch the bouquet will soon be the next bride.
So, is everyone in? Ready when you are at the count of three, the bride is going to
throw backward her bouquet. May I also request the audience to join me in the
counting.

[INSTRUCTION: emcees will make sure that everyone is in their place]

Are you ready ladies??? Let us now do the countdown in ONE… TWO…
THREE……. And there you go

[The bride will throw her bouquet backward and the ladies will try to catch it]

May I request for the lady who was able to catch the bouquet to please come
forward.

Congratulations, miss, may I have your name please?

Okay, let give a big hand to Miss __________________. Please have a seat
beside the bride and in a moment we shall find your match in the garter toss, are you
excited?

XV. RETRIEVAL OF THE GARTER (GAMES)

Before we go on with garter toss, the groom is going to retrieve the garter from
his bride. So may we request Nong and Kath to please come the center stage and do
the garter retrieval ritual.

[A chair is brought on stage for the bride to sit, while groom is going to kneel
down at the bride’s feet to get ready in retrieving the garter]

Ladies and gentlemen, the groom will now retrieve the garter from the bride

[The groom retrieves the garter from the bride]

There you have it ladies and gentlemen, the groom is finally able to retrieve the
garter. Let us give him a big hand.
XVI. GARTER TOSS (GAMES)

Okay now, it is now the gentlemen’s turn and we will now do the garter toss .
may I now request all single men to please come forward for the garter toss

[the emcees will wait for the single men to come forward]

Gentlemen please take your place behind the groom and be ready to catch the
garter. So, is everyone ready? At the count of three, the groom will throw the garter
and again, we request the audience to please participate in the countdown.

[INSTRUCTION: emcees will make sure that everyone is in their place]

Okay, get ready guys, in ONE… TWO… THREE……. And there you go

[The groom will throw the garter backward and the gentlemen will try to catch
it]

MATCHMAKING RITUAL

Alright, there you go again, may I request the gentleman with the quick hand
who has now in his possession the garter. Sir, please come forward and take your
place right beside the lady who has the bouquet.

Congratulations, sir may I have your name please?

[The emcee draws the microphone near to the gentleman]

Thank you, Mr. _________________! Friends, let’s give this gentleman a big
hand.

Now that we have already found a girl and a boy, maybe the next bride and
groom in the future

[emcees will ask question from the winners]

Once again, thank you Mr. _______________ and Ms. ______________! Let
us give them a round of applause please

Please remain on stage for the picture taking. The newlywed will now pose
with our lovely new pair.

[Emcees will stand aside as photographers take pictures of the pair with the
newlywed]

Once again, thank you Mr. _____________ and Ms. ________________ for
your participation, you may now take your seats

XVII. MESSAGE FROM THE PARENTS

And now, at this moment, we the both parents of newlywed couple to say few
word or their wishes for the couple.
It is said that our parents are our first teachers, having raised us patiently from
childhood to adulthood. They have been our source of comfort, support and
inspiration. Nong and Kath are truly blessed with such wonderful parents, and I am
certain enough that when it comes to knowing what marriage is all about, they always
have something to say and to share with their children. So, without so much ado, we
would like to call on the mother or the father of the groom Mr./Mrs
_________________ to say a few words of wisdom and best wishes to our
newlywed.

Thank you so much po for that very inspiring and thoughtful message. And, we
would like to call on the mother or the father of the bride to also say some pieces of
advice and words of wisdom to our newlywed.

XVIII. TURN OVER OF MONEY CEREMONY

At this juncture we will now do the turn-over of the money ceremony. May I
request to our one of the Ninongs to please facilitate this ceremony

[the emcee will announce the exact amount of money that bride and groom have able
to collect]

[one of the ninongs will facilitate the turn over of money from the groom to bride]

There you have it ladies and gentlemen, the money has been turned over to the
wife.

We are indeed very grateful not only for the presence, but also the cooperation
of our principal and secondary sponsors as well as the members of the entourage.
Nong and Kath, together with their parents would like to express their deepest
gratitude for all your help and support and for making this memorable occasion a
great success.

IXX. COUPLE’S CLOSING MESSAGE

This celebration has almost come to an end but for our newlywed couple, it is
just a beginning of their new life together and a start of their first step to the road of
forever. As we each go home, may this day be memorable for all of us as it is to
them.

To personally convey their heartfelt gratitude let us now lend our ears to Mr.
and Mrs Nong and Kath Villare
