The Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Students’ Association is an organization dedicated to
empowering pharmacy students across Ethiopia. Since our revitalization in 2014 E.C., we've
grown significantly, currently representing over 2000 pharmacy students across the nation
with 11-chapter offices established nationwide.
As a member of the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF), we've been
granted the privilege to participate in the 12th IPSF African Pharmaceutical Symposium in
Freetown, Sierra Leone. This symposium, themed "Strengthening the Healthcare System:
Pharmaceutical Innovation and Resilience," is prepared to address critical issues facing
healthcare infrastructure and pharmaceutical advancements across Africa.
Our participation in this symposium holds great significance. Not only will it provide a
platform to represent Ethiopian pharmacy students internationally, but it also presents a
unique opportunity to contribute to vital discussions and initiatives aimed at enhancing
healthcare systems and fostering innovation within the pharmaceutical sector.
Moreover, our delegates are committed to leveraging the knowledge gained to benefit their
local community. Upon their return, they'll conduct training sessions for fellow pharmacy
students and raise awareness about the indispensable role of pharmacists within Ethiopia’s
healthcare settings.
Therefore, to make our participation possible, we're in need of financial support to cover
travel, accommodation, and registration expenses. With this letter we have attached the cost
breakdown of the necessary expenses to attend the program.
