Unlock the value of your MIT Jameel World Education Lab

membership to equip your organization for transformation

The Jameel World Education Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology works with ambitious
organizations seeking to improve learning and fuel innovation in the communities they serve. By
combining MIT expertise with knowledge, tools, and inspiration from varied sources, we aim to both
enable and learn from members in their journeys to education transformation.

Supporting you and your education innovation efforts is our foremost goal. To do this, we curate
evidence-based findings, develop practical resources, design compelling events, and co-produce insights.
At every turn, we aim to strengthen our global network of like-minded colleagues who share the mission.

Our responsively-designed slate of activities, updated quarterly, blends interactive and collaborative
sessions with large-scale events designed to fuel wider conversations across member campuses.
Member-to-member sessions inspire new thinking. Interactions with MIT experts deliver practical
insights, showcase digital and on-campus learning innovations, and examine the intersection of higher
education with global trends and emerging technologies.

What awaits you this year? Three themes weave across the year’s workshop and event sequences:
Generative AI in Education: Explore the rapidly evolving role of Generative AI in shaping education
and learning experiences and informing cutting-edge content for learners.
Tools for the Future: Delve into essential educational disciplines, trends, and frameworks crucial for
educating holistic learners in the 21st century. A focus on sustainable teaching innovations,
including action learning and evolving topics such as green job skills, adds practical guidance.
New Pathways: Learn about effective ways to serve talented learners who need new opportunities.

2024 highlights. In-person events, notably May’s J-WEL Week and our “MIT Inside” workshop in
September, promote networking and collaboration. A two-week remote intensive in July addresses
student experience and our October Connections event connects research with entrepreneurial
thinking. Our year-end Member Celebration reflects on our network’s collective global achievements.
