Protocols to international travelers arriving in Ecuador:

- All passengers must fill out and sign the Traveler's Health Declaration and deliver it upon
arrival in the country. (Provided to you at the airport)

- Passengers arriving in Ecuador who present negative results of a PCR test for Covid 19 can
circulate freely throughout the country and do not require mandatory preventive isolation.
The test must have been performed within 10 days prior to the trip. Rapid tests are not
accepted.

- People belonging to priority care groups do not require an RT-PCR test and will perform the
mandatory preventive isolation (APO) at home. If they arrive in the country with a negative RT-
PCR test, they should not perform the APO.

- Passengers who do not present a negative PCR test for Covid 19 must begin their mandatory
preventive isolation (APO) in an authorized temporary accommodation. The passenger can
undergo a PCR test, at their own cost, and comply with the quarantine period until the
negative result is delivered. The traveler must personally manage with a laboratory accredited
by ACESS for the laboratory service to go to the temporary accommodation where they are
complying with the quarantine. The mobilization of the traveler to the laboratory sample
collection point is not allowed. Once the result is obtained, the person may leave the
temporary accommodation, after validation and authorization from the PMU (Unified
Command Post) to the email pmu.ecuador2020@gmail.com.
- In the event that the result of the RT-PCR test is positive, the APO must be completed in the
temporary accommodation until the ten days are completed; If the person presents
symptoms, it takes at least three more days than the ten completed isolation, that the person
does not have a fever, does not use antipyretics and does not have respiratory symptoms. The
total number of minimum days will be thirteen (13) days.

Therefore, If you bring the negative PCR test results, you will be allowed to travel to your home
immediately.

If you do not bring the PCR test results, you will have to stay at one of the authorized hotels in
the same city where you arrive, then coordinate with a laboratory to get the PCR test, and
once you have the results request the authorities to let you travel to your home.

If you do not bring the PCR test results, Please find attached the letter that you have to fill out,
sign and scan.

- the completed letter
- your passport copy
