THE UNPLANNED END-YEAR VACATION

Actually when I still on the first semester, I planned to spend my holiday just staying at home
watching K-Dramas, workout and hanging out occasionally because my little sister came home
for her holiday from Boarding School (Most people known it as ‘Pesantren’) which is so far
away and she came home only every 6 months and I knew that my sister doesn’t like to go out
and prefer staying at home. My parents also agreed that we would not go anywhere far from the
city, and I already planned a vacation with my old friends for the 30th of December until the 1st of
January. We even had our train tickets for going to Bandung. But suddenly on 29th of December
my parents asked us to go to East Java for taking my sister back to the Boarding School in
Jombang, East Java on the 3rd of January. Forcefully I had to cancel my main plan with my old
friends. My family (The four of us: My parents, me and my sister) went to East Java by car and
our first stop in East Java was Madiun City. We stayed overnight there and continued to Malang
City to visit my brother who is studying in Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) and we
stayed in The Batu Villas until the second day of new year which was the 2nd of January 2023
and continued on the 3rd of January to the Jombang where my sister study. After taking my sister
to her Boarding School, we continued to visit our hometown, we went to Madura. But because it
