DELHI METRO RAIL CORPORATION, SHASTRI PARK, DELHI May 2007 - July 2007
 Developed three new algorithms to schedule the Preventive Maintenance Plan to increase the availability of the
trains during peak hours.
 Estimated the downtime for each algorithm and optimum one was chosen.
 Redesigned and implemented the Maintenance Module of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
 Reduced Downtime by 20% which was major achievement for the company.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

DEVELOPING OPTIMIZED FACILITY LOCATION MODEL August 2007 to present


 Developing a facility location mathematical model and then applying this on a particular real life situation
(e.g. location of ATM) by using different mathematical models.
 The model would help companies to efficiently cater their products or services and reduce the undesirable
costs.
DESIGNING OF A TABLE TOP MICRO-FORMING MACHINE Jan 2007 to April 2007
 Modeled Table top Micro‐Forming Machine on Pro‐E simulating different dimensions and materials
 Performed Finite Element Analysis on ANSYS; resulting in less than 1 micron deflection.

HOUSE SECRETARY OF KUMAON HOUSE July 2007 to present


 Leading a team of 13 secretaries in managing hostel affairs which include Maintenance, Mess, Cultural, Sports,,
Alumni etc.
 Strategized and devised Hostel Budget of about INR 1,500,000.
 Initiatives taken up include automated door authentication system, foot operated taps, Central Power
Regulatory devices, Online Library System, Fully furnished Sports Complex etc.
MAINTENANCE SECRETARY July 2006 to April 2007
 Won the Coveted Trophy for Best Hostel Management.
 Elected unanimously by over 400 students
 Developmental projects taken up include Central Laundry Facility, renovation of Mess, New Mess Lawn in
Hostel.
 Raised INR 30,000 from Alumni to create Hostel Student’s Welfare Fund.
REPRESENTATIVE OF BOARD FOR STUDENT WELFARE (BSW) July 2005 to April 2006
 Won the Runner’s up Trophy of Board for Students Welfare.
 Introduced the concept of Fund raising from Caution Money and raised more than INR 450,000 (Idea was
adopted for implementation at Institute level).
 Secured Tax Exemption for BSW account and establish a hassle free fund raising channel.
 Organized around 20 workshops and camps over varied topics for the benefit of the Student Community.
CAPTAIN, TABLE TENNIS, KUMAON HOUSE July 2006 to April 2007
 Organized for first time an intra hostel Table Tennis Competition.
 Coached and led the Table Tennis team to the Semifinals.(A feat never achieved by the team in the last 3 years)

 Raised and resolved various issues concerning class working at the Class Committee Meetings.
 Acted as the link between the Academic Administration and Student Body.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

 Won second prize (2004), first prize (2005), and second prize (2006) in the inter-hostel carom tournament
organized by Board for Recreational and Creative Activities.
 Won first prize in Musical Manoranjan at inter hostel level in 2004 organized by Music Club.
