DISSOLVED AIR FLOTATION - DAF

Supracell Process Description

The untreated water flows into the unit in one direc on as the rota ng carriage travels in another direc on. These two
forces oppose each other and equalize to create a 'zerovelocity within the flota on zone. This causes the fine air
bubbles from the ADT to a ach and li the suspended solids to the surface where the sludge blanket is formed.

Then, the clarified water is drawn off the bo om of the tank with the help of effluent extrac on pipes into a common
clear well. The water is discharged by gravity through the bo om of the unit. The floa ng sludge is removed with the
help of a spiral scoop and is deposited out in a central sludge well.

Technical Speci cations: Operational Advantages

BELT FILTER PRESS

Application & Unique Features

Parason Belt Filter Press is designed for squeezing sludge for various industries applica on from primary/secondary
clarifier Deinking process.
The Belt Filter Press is efficiently designed to squeeze sludge from 2 to 4% consistency by adding polyacrylamide
based flocculent. This helps in be er drainage to achieve 28% to 35% consistency. The sludge is handled with a
minimum capacity of 4TPD OD base & a maximum capacity of 25 TPD with a very low power consump on of 23 HP.

SPRAY FILTER FRACTIONING SCREEN

Parason Spray Filter is efficient in producing highquality separa on in numerous opera ons and industrial mills. This
mainly includes the deinking plants, board mills, and fine paper and ssue mills.

Ef ciency & Protection

The fibers present in wastewater some mes cause clogging of equipment or an increase in sludge volume. Some
paper mills are focused on reusing the recovering fibers to reduce the raw material cost. The Spray Filter Frac oning
Screen is designed for handling wide varia ons of solid content. This equipment is ideal to suit fiber frac ona on, felt
hair recovery, shower nozzle protec on, and effluent polishing before or a er a dissolved air flota on clarifier.

Features & Bene ts

Excellent fiber recovery
Maximum equipment protec on
Sludge control & water reuse
Simple opera on with few moving parts and low rpm
Selfcleaning components
Open, nonclogging cleaning shower nozzles

REJECT COMPACTOR

Feed

Reject

Drain

Purpose
Parason Reject Compactor is built for separa ng rejects of variable
par cle sizes containing a significant amount of fibers.
Rejects like pieces of plas c, laminated paper, wood par cles,
tex le pieces, s ckies, wax, sand par cles, glass pieces, metal
par cles, etc. are efficiently separated with the Reject Compactor.

Process
The reject fed to the compactor is conveyed by a rota ng screw.
The hydraulically actuated pressure hatches compress the reject
material inside a counterpressure unit.
The heavyduty & wear resistance baskets retain the solid par cles
and the water is allowed to flow down through the holes. Parason
Reject Compactor can efficiently achieve maximum dryness.

Key Bene ts:

Works with smaller to higher consistencies i.e. 10%45%
Design is suitable for both lower and higher consistency opera ons
Lower maintenance cost & longer service me
Improved quality of accepts s obtained with negligible fiber loss

FAN PRESS

Working Principle
Parason Fan Press is developed with pioneering technology to separate wastewater into its solid and liquid
components. Fan Press is a combined innova on of filter and press techniques that help to achieve clean water and
dry solid par cles.
Parason Fan Press machine separates the solids from liquid to achieve the desired consistency of the end product. The
solid par cles exit the process in a dripfree form. Compared to the conven onal separator, the Parason Fan Separator
is compact, maintenancefriendly, and me and costefficient.

Special Features
Efficient dewatering of fine and coarse rejects
Dewatering fibrous effluent & sludge
Cleaning of process wastewater
Replacement of belt presses & centrifuges Primary screen

Advantages
Compact design requires less floor space

SAND SEPARATOR

Operating Principles
Parason Sand Separator is designed with the mechanism for draining heavy rejects with high volume flows. The Sand
Separator is focused on fast and efficient removal of very large debris from the sludge.
The sludge coming from the junk traps is fed into the vat. Heavy rejects are separated from the water by a sturdy,
sha less screw. The ample vat space in combina on with a sha less screw reduces the blockages caused by bulky
material.
