Hold issues

 Feature mechanism:
A. Hold flow:
When you press ‘Hold’ key, the phone will send an SIP ‘INVITE’ message to the server which in
the SDP information there is a keyword ‘Sendonly’, then the call will be hold.

When press ‘resume’ key, the phone will send another SIP ‘INVITE’ message to the server which
SDP information with ‘Sendrecv’, then the call will be resumed:

B. Parameters related ‘Hold’:


a) account.X.music_on_hold_type=
# It configures the way to process Music On Hold when placing an active call on hold for account X.

0-Calling the Music On Hold server before holding the call
1-Calling the Music On Hold server after holding the call

b) account.X.music_server_uri=
#It configures the address of the Music On Hold server for account X.
Examples for valid values: <10.1.3.165>, 10.1.3.165, sip:moh@sip.com, <sip:moh@sip.com>, <yealink.com> or
yealink.com.
Example:
account.1.music_server_uri = sip:moh@sip.com
PS: WEB path: Account->Advanced->Music Server URI
Note: The DNS query in this parameter only supports A query.
c) features.play_hold_tone.enable=
#It enables or disables the IP phone to play a warning tone when there is a call on hold.
0-Disabled
1-Enabled
PS: WEB path: Features->General Information->Play Hold Tone
d) features.play_hold_tone.delay=
#It configures the interval (in seconds) at which the IP phone play a warning tone when there is a call on hold.
If it is set to 30 (30s), the IP phone will play a warning tone every 30 seconds when there is a call on hold.
Note: It works only if the value of the parameter “features.play_hold_tone.enable” is set to 1 (Enabled).
Scenario: This feature is for warming the user there the call is on hold.

e) phone_setting.hold_and_held_power_led_flash_enable=
It enables or disables the power indicator LED to flash when a call is placed on hold or is held.
0-Disabled (power indicator LED does not flash)
1-Enabled ( power indicator LED fast flashes (500ms) red)
Scenario: This feature is for warming the user there the call is on hold.

f) sip.rfc2543_hold=
It enables or disables the IP phone to use RFC 2543 (c=0.0.0.0) outgoing hold signaling.
0-Disabled
1-Enabled
If it is set to 0 (Disabled), SDP media direction attributes (such as a=sendonly) per RFC 3264 is used when placing a
call on hold.
If it is set to 1 (Enabled), SDP media connection address c=0.0.0.0 per RFC 2543 is used when placing a call on
hold.

 Issue Description:
A. Resume from hold, there will be one way audio issue.
B. Resume from hold, the call will be hung up.
C. After the hold, can’t retrieve the call via ‘resume’
D. After the hold, there is no hold music

E. After be held for a while, the call will be hung up automatically.
F. Hold key doesn’t take effect

Usually for Hold issue, you have to contact Yealink local distributor or Yealink FAE for help.
And please kindly help to confirm and provide below information at the first time:
A. Detailed test steps to reproduce your issue. E.g. a) Phone A calls to Phone B, B answer it
and call established; b) A press hold, the call is hold but after about 5 seconds, the call
will drop automatically.
B. How often does this issue occurred? (Like one of ten test?)
C. How many Yealink phones the customer have? And how many of them have the issue?
D. Any other Yealink phones works well? Or other brand phones?
E. Please kindly reproduce the issue and kindly provide us syslog(level6)/trace/config.bin
files for further analysis: (For how to get these three files, please refer to
https://support.yealink.com/en/portal/knowledge/show?id=84b84b529641f28b843eb4
45 )
Note: Please make sure the trace is with completed SIP message, e.g.:

Make sure Syslog file is in Level6: if it have <6+info> means its Level 6 syslog:

F. If any other phones works fine, if it is Yealink phones, please also help to provide us
syslog (level6)/trace/config.bin files; if other brands, please kindly provide us the trace.
That will help us to compare and fix it ASAP.
G. If you can provide the test account for reproducing this issue in Yealink side, that will be
great!
