SETTING UP TINKERCAD TO

SIMULATE ARDUINO
You may not have access to an Arduino UNO, but it is still possible to follow along
with this course thanks to online Arduino simulators which are freely accessible.

Visit https://www.tinkercad.com and click Sign Up. If you already have an account,
log in.

On the next screen, select Create a Personal Account. Then, create an account
however it’s most convenient for you.

The Tinkercad dashboard looks like this once logged in.

We want to use the circuit simulator. On the left, select Circuits and Create New
Circuit.

The circuit editor should open, and looks like this.

In the top left, the name of the project is randomly generated. Click it once to name
it something more helpful.

On the right is our list of devices we can play with and add to our simulation.

We want to select an Arduino UNO R3. Click on it and click inside the main area to
place one.

Your circuit should look like this.

Click the Code button to open the code editor.

Then, change the edit mode from blocks to Text

The course will involve modifying this code. When you are ready to try your code
out, Click the Start Simulation button and see the results!

You are now ready to start using Tinkercad to follow along with our course!
