CONTEXTUALIZING
The National Historical Institute (NHI) honored
Kalantiaw in 1989 by including him in Filipinos in
History
The NHI finally admitted that the CODE OF
KALANTIYAW WAS A HOAX in 1998
CONTEXTUALIZING
In 2005, the NHI submitted a resolution to President
Arroyo to revoke the national shrine status of the
Kalantiaw Shrine in Aklan, which, of course, enraged
some Aklanons”
On June 19, 1978, a 30-centavo postage stamp was
released in honor of "Rajah Kalantiaw".
CONCLUSION
The Code of Kalantiaw holds a lasting legacy
that sheds light on the laws and ethics of an
ancient civilization. By preserving and studying
this code, we can not only authenticate its
historical origins but also gain valuable
insights into its societal values and norms.
This exploration opens doors to
understanding our collective past and
appreciating the richness and diversity of
human civilization.
