Section #13796

Over the summer, I assumed the ideology of being the best version of myself that I can be

everyday. I've spent these recent months focusing on my strengths and weaknesses in order to

fully develop my future and wellbeing while on the quest for ultimate happiness. Here's what

I’ve discovered: My words have meaning. To speak is one of the most powerful abilities us

humans have. It is the way we communicate and the way we think alike. I want to begin by

projecting my voice and using it to manifest what I want for myself. When something bad

happens in my life, the words that I project are more often than not going to be negative, which

is something that I want to change. As Don Miguel Ruiz stated in his book titled, “The Four

Agreements”, “Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love” Although this

statement might change from time to time it is always good to remember that we are human and

that in being aware of your behavior, you can truly change it.

After reviewing the course goals for the class, the first one I gravitated towards the was

“Work on self awareness”. I chose this goal because it only amplifies the idea of being the best

version of yourself. In order to set goals and adhere to them, it is essential to understand what is

stopping you from doing so and being aware of your actions. Working on your self awareness is

just as important as all the other steps since it means being observant, empathetic to your

surroundings and being understanding. It stood out to me because the phrase itself lets you know

where you stand within yourself and what position you assume in your self maintenance.
Becoming self-aware allows you to create an honest reflection of your feelings and life. By

knowing myself and my limits, I can better schedule when to do my tasks. I intend to use this

goal in class to get my assignments done promptly and with a lot of care. This goal will also

allow me to analyze my life without having to question if I can do something.

The final goal I chose was, “Create action plans based on performance reflections and

feedback”. This particular goal stood out to me because it's a summary of all my goals and ideas

into one. I would like to start planning out my tasks and assignments in a way that's achievable

and realistic for me to complete—in addition to planning, and reflecting on what works for me

while using feedback and reflections to assist me in my journey of improving myself. It is

important to analyze the feedback we receive to prosper and improve. When referencing school,

this course goal would be beneficial to use to make my assignments better. I also hope to use this

goal to space out my projects. I hope to continue to use these course goals to become successful

in the class and my personal life overall.
